So I had this come up today....I shot Jonas with Howlrunner, got a crit thru, and Blinded Pilot flipped up. He shot next and his only target was Kenkirk with Rebel Captive. Blinded Pilot makes you choose a target (assuming you want to flip it down, which in most cases you do.). Rebel captive only cares that he is declared a target. So Jonas gets stressed for looking at Rebel Captives ship the wrong way....kind of odd
Weird card interaction

...And he squeezed on the trigger as he was blinded by the console explosion in his cockpit. Once he recovered and opend his eye he suddenly realized he was firing on his captured comrade's ship. The thoughts of killing the person his squadron were desperately trying to rescue made his heart skip a beat as the visuals around him turned red...
lol great story!
I once shot at Han flying the falcon with Fel and a wingman int, Fel got blinded pilot but unfortunately (according to our debate at the time which i still feel flies in the face of the spirit of the rules) the following still happened; Han fired no dice (blinded right?), got to trigger his pilot ability and re-roll his (unrolled) attack dice (he must have lightning quick reactions), he hit, i evaded, he triggered gunner and blew the interceptor away...:-(

I think that the entire attack before gunner was activated should have been without dice as Han can only reroll what's been rolled, which would mean 0 dice. Then you turn the crit over and gunner performs a new attack, so everything from then on would have been played normally.
yeah, i was new(ish) to the gameat the time, playing an experienced opponent so i didn't want to force the issue especially with it being a casual game. the squint would've survived if Han hadn't gotten to re-roll his attack dice... heyho...:-/
You can't reroll attack dice that aren't rolled, but Gunner, Darth Vader Crew, and Accuracy Corrector can all trigger after Blinded Pilot activates.

Exactly!

Oh hey! I'd never thought about accuracy corrector working even an attack is made with no dice being rolled. I feel like that should be errataed.

Why would it? The pilot was blinded, but the system still works. You can't reroll attack dice that aren't rolled, but Gunner, Darth Vader Crew, and Accuracy Corrector can all trigger after Blinded Pilot activates.

I won't be heartbroken if they leave it alone, but I feel like it's too much of a loophole in a crit to be allowed to stand. *shrug* minor point, but an interesting interaction.

Advanced targeting computer will add a kaboom result to the 0 dice rolled as well.
And ships with Accuracy Corrector will still get 2 hits even while dealing with a Blinded Pilot crit.
And blinded pilot Kanos can add a
result to his zero attack dice.

Yeah, you were ripped off by that Han reroll. Clearly not allowed. It's surprising sometimes what some people try to get away with. ![]()

Of all the uselessness in the critical effects, THIS is the one that needs errata? ![]()
My personal favorite: Accuracy Corrector with two Weapon Malfunctions.
