Prediction time - what _will_ we see in Wave 7?

Isn't the Raider wave 7?

Isn't the Raider wave 7?

So far, SFFG doesn't count Huge ships and Aces packs as part of the Waves, they are separate mid-wave releases.

Wave seven guarantees to be a who's who of "Whose who?"

Dr who?

When you reveal your Dial, place your ship anywhere on the board, at any round in the past, present, or future, that it doesn't simultaneously exist.

On you turn in the combat phase, empathize with your opponent, and have a witty conversation with them about how clever you are.

Since they haven't announced anything at all for w7 i assumed it was the Raider. I have zero interest in epic ships anyway

You may hate me for this, but wave 7:

Rebel: new style Xwing we saw in the trailer.

Imperial: new style Tie fighter (assumed to be present in episode 7)

Scum: "scum" ship from episode 7 (somewhat safe assumption, maybe some sort of pirate or smuggler)

New starter with the new xwing and tie fighter.

Why? FFG would be crazy not to capitalize on the new movie.

All future releases largely come from new movies and video games.

Why? There really isn't much widely known and used stuff left in the EU... And they aren't making any more EU (as is my understanding)

I don't think you're too far off, but I think it's too soon for Episode 7 ships. There are enough ships for at least a couple more waves before they start scraping the bottom of the barrel.

I just don't think FFG rates that high to get access through JJ's mystery box to get that info in time. Besides, we have a base idea of what Wave 7 contains (ordnance stuff).

It's not JJ's mystery box, it is Disney's property. There are somewhere around 7 new Lego sets for the new movie, and yu can bet there are already action figures "on the boat".

Like any licencee, their level of access is determined by their contract.

Jar Jar Binks is coming out in the next wave in the scum aces pack I heard.

Yes, compromises have to be made. But Lego and Hasbro are worlds above FFG in the licensing food chain. I just don't see FFG being able to meet the timetable for the Episode VII tidal wave of product.

I'd be more inclined to believe you if JJ wasn't already whining about the ending being leaked.

Well, it may not be wave 7, but it would be very surprising if it isn't wave 8.

Also, don't forget that somewhere out there, there is a licence manager at Disney who's bonus is determined by how much his licencees pay to Disney. T is in his or her interest to maximize FFGs revenue, which means thy have the new ship models.

And jumping into max speculation mode, wasn't episode 7 originally scheduled for May 2015... What if the Scum wave was a fuller wave due to the hange in release dates??? (I am VERY likely wrong here)

There is a really nice art piece of the Star Wing in the new smuggler book. I'd wager it is coming in the next wave.

But all of those are extremely boring options featuring only minor cosmetic changes to existing ships, vs. the treasure trove of unused EU stuff that hasn't even been tapped yet, especially in regards to scum.

maybe see REBELS craft before VII craft?

I may be in the minority, but I really don't want to see a turret primary in Scum. I know we will probably get a YT at some point, but even stuff like a jump master could have a turret slot rather than a turret main (then again, adding a quad laser turret would either make y wings potentially disgusting or make the blaster turret even more irrelevant, unless it was flat 2 attack).

For myself, I would love to see a skipray come in for scum. It rocks ordinance so fits with the ordinance 'fix' hints we got, add in turret slot, cannon slot and a crew or two, plus clearly Mara as a pilot.

I'm also torn as to whether or not I would want uglies. On the one hand they are very specific to rogue squadron novels, they are very much kit bashes, and one of the only worthwhile ones (the Clutch) would be way too similar looking to a phantom. On the other, I oddly love the idea of death seeds.
