I can't see anything like the special logos on the cards to identify the components from different expansions on monster tokens.
Is there a way?
Does it matter to gameplay if you have a huge monster cup with monster types from all expansions?

The only "problems" I see:
1) a decrease in the relative chance of drawing a worshipper of the Ancient One.
2) much less relevant movement; you'll get even fewer aquatic movements than now!
I don't think I'll mind that much. But if you want to be discriminatory, then ColtsFan and Tibs were generous enough to put that information on these forums, underneath the resources link at the top of the forum pages.
Yeah - to my play group's horror, I ended up marking all my expansion monsters with symbols (base game I just left blank). The main reason was the Arkham League - the rules said (for the first few scenarios at least) not to use components from outside the base Arkham game, and I took that to include monsters.
A checklist (as like from Board Game Geek) will list the monster contents of any expansion. But if you're trying to make sure that your Kingsport Cultist ends up in the Kingsport Box at the end of the day...
Well, I've taken special note of the width and orientation of the color borders on the back side of the chits. My Arkham chits are thin on top, my Dunwich chits are thick on top, Kingsport chits' colors are brighter, and Innsmouth chits have almost no upper border. (Let's just call it Game OCD.) Of course, depending on the manufacturing machine, your mileage will vary.
I agree with Flamethrower49's #1. I despise Nyarlathotep games with barely 1 Mask showing up. Rhan-Tegoth, Yig, and several Personal Stories suck when no Cultists show up. Not to mention you will NEVER see Rhan's Gnoph-Keh worshipper. I've begun leaving out expansion "duplicates" (Formless Spawn, Nightgaunts, Goat Spawn, Dark Young, Mi-Go) unless they are specifically named as worshippers; it shaves about 10-12 monsters out. Statistically, it should help a little, but I don't know if I can tell yet.

same here, that, and the Arkham chits are getting rubbed out and have dogeared corners, thats the main way to tell them apart ![]()
I used a kind of silvery glue pen to put the initials for the expansion on the back of the monster tiles, next to the red drop(s). You can easily see it, you easily see which monsters are marked and which aren't (which is all you need if you only play one expansion) and it doesn't show much. In the right light it's even invisible.
BTW I always take out the cards from expansions after playing, and I usually find one or two from the game before last... with luck during the game if it comes up, otherwise while cleaning up - familiar anyone?
Normally we play late at night, so I end up stowing everything really quickly and then taking the time to carefully sort out expansion cards the next day. Even then I still find that one Dunwich card I forgot to take out of the purple encounter deck... so yes, very familiar
