Team UFS House wins US Teams

By vermillian2, in UFS General Discussion

Gratz Kohls, Bittner and Herr, for playing the same stuff that everyone else was playing, just playing it better than the 14 other teams that were around (less than last year, but more than the year before that).

About 23987324 gills, chun lis and hanzo kicks. Good times were had non-the-less, and Chubbs kept his clothes on. In other news Comfest activities got a drunk guy in a car to ram himself into my front tire, immobalizing my car (fortunately i live here and can walk to the convention).

Game on all. More updates ... sometime.

aplauso.gif Congrats to Team Red Trigangle / Green Triangle - Ohio Chapter on finally breaking the teams curse and brining home the title. aplauso.gif

(But do you guys really need ANOTHER card amongst the bunch of you? gui%C3%B1o.gif )

Sorry to hear about the Car Verm enfadado.gif

Ah the final bosses broke the 4th wall and did it!

So then I wonder between Fred, Jeremy, and Paul who will get the character first to complete the cycle?

well the count now is that team ufs house has now kohls and herr with single champ cards and bittner needs to win a tourney to be the first team to have single character cards and a team asset, on the other hand fred is on the same boat along with omar and james with their very own card and asset. alexa team may have a chance but their already known for winning both nats and worlds teams. if the game is still around i plan to od next year and participate in every major event.

um yeah jermey and the other guy need to win to be the first team.

the midwest is so broke in ufs! llorando.gif

The way I see it, it's because other people don't want it enough (or have their decks crap out on them due to the recommendations of others).

I think they are all just not human.

Oh, they are.

No non-human has signed one of René's God of Metals, and IIRC someone in UFS house did.

actualy there are quit a few martians on earth so that's probably pretty likely.

The chief reason the same people top 8 is because they have superior deckbuilding skills.

Although luck is a factor, and of course, how you play your cards (versus what to keep, etc), building decks using all idealistic cards that are as non-situational as possible is what has kept me the best player in my local playgroup ever since I've started.

I can only assume the same holds true for these guys and anybody else really.

So...

were they really using Gill, Chun-Li, and Hanzo? That makes me sad =/

They aren't human. They are robots.

also drunk post. sry

8+hrs in the making

yeah, pretty much every team but I think one was running a Chun-Li and an Evil deck of some kind (Akuma, Zi-Mei, Ibuki, or Hanzo-kick).

I had fun, my teams first round was against UFS House where we discovered STG's rules got lost in translation, and I got to sit there against Bittner's Gill and wait to get spiral locked by my utter lack of orange cards. I was playing my team's chun-li and drew literally one Feline Spike in all of my matches, and 2-3 Hyouko-Sens. Sad day is sad day.

grats to you guys on another card (and Bittner's well deserved first). Hope it's smexy.

well, we were under the assumption that at the start of the match, the captains did their dice roll thing, and the captain who won picked his match, however he could not pick the opposing team captain, and then after he picked his match, the other captain would pick his match, and the final two players left over would fight. The last team event we played at was Worlds '08 and my team went through the entire tournament doing that and apparently it wasn't supposed to be that way even then.

Nope has never been like that.

WHAT?!

I was under the understanding it worked the way you understood it to. Thanks for bringing this to light!

like I said, something has been seriously lost in translation. I (and probably quite a few people) would like to see the official rules for a Team event posted up by a FFG employee.

I'm happy UFS house won that one, they played very well and beat us fair and square in the finals.
