Greetings!
We had really hard discussion about “Morph” ability of Chaos Beast.
When I (Overlord) use “Morph” on Reanimate familiar, do I gain +1 Yellow Power Die for Necromancer “Vampiric Blood” ability?
Also, how does “Morph” work, when I use it on Master Changeling with “Mage” Corrupt Citizen card? Do I gain his additional Green Power Die in “Chaos Beast” attack pool?
Thank you.
Question - Morph Ability of Chaos Beast
To answer your questions:
Yes, the chaos beast gains whatever dice the Reanimate is currently using. If the necromancer has Vampiric Blood, the Reanimate permanently has an extra yellow die, so the chaos beast gains that yellow die as well.
You would also gain the additional green power die that the Master Changeling with the Mage card has.

Hey, guys.
According to Nathan Hayek, Chaos beasts only copy the dice printed in the figure's card. No extra dice from abilities. There is an official answer at the end of this page:

Looks like that should apply to the Reanimate as well.
What do you think?
The chaos beast's card specifically states that it doesn't get any of the figure's abilities, just the dice. "Ability" has been taken to mean really any special text (such as "Reach" on a staff, even.) The text doesn't specify "card," but (given Nathan's response) that seems to be the intention. He has also ruled previously that if a reanimate is targeted by "Dark Charm," the OL only rolls blue/red, not the "Vampiric Blood" yellow.
It's a little weird because the reanimate doesn't really have an equipped weapon, just a familar card- but it's clear that if the chaos beast targeted a normal hero, it would only use the dice printed on the weapon, ignoring any of the weapon's other text- I suppose you could extend that to just reading the dice off the reanimate's card, and ignoring other text.
If the text of the chaos beast's card said "attack pool" rather than "dice," that would be different, as "vampiric blood" explicitly adds dice to the reanimate's attack pool.
Edited by ZaltyreAh, in that case I am wrong.
I interpreted the chaos beast's ability to be to mimic the target's dice pool. That response would seem to indicate that because the bonus die comes from a necromancer ability, the reanimate's dice pool is not permanently effected. I guess that means the reanimate also loses the yellow die when the necromancer is knocked out, since the necromancer cannot be on the map to provide that ability then.
Chaos beasts are a fair bit on the weak side, especially in act 2.
Edited by WhitewingI would agree about the Necromancer knockout reducing the renaimate's attack pool- "vampiric blood," along with the necromancer's other skills, go inactive.
