2 Admirals in the Imp Gladiator?

By R22, in Star Wars: Armada

Here's Admiral Screed, listed with the Gladiator, from the Imperial Fleet preview, note the image and text:

Now look at the card fan from the Wave 1 Annnucement, specifically the second from the left on the bottom row. This is ALSO the card fan from the Imperial Fleet Preview. So the fan matches both announcements.

Except that is clearly not Admiral Screed who they present as the Admiral in the review. It clearly says Admiral SomethingElse and features a text block that begins with the Squadron symbol, followed by the words:

"Squadron...

activate c...

they are ...

an eng... [engineer/ing command/token?]

moves in...

as having..."

This text box does not match with the other Admiral revealed, Motti (from the Vic), or Grand Moff Tarkin (from the Core). Nor does it match the listed Admiral in the Preview, Admiral Screed, by way of text or picture.

Did anybody else catch this? At the very least it appears they already have another Admiral in the pipe for the Imperials: one that affects squadrons. Did they reveal the wrong Admiral? Any thoughts on the goof Admiral?

EDIT: Nothing. I doubted myself and double checked in a bout of insecurity. Screed is still not the Admiral shown in the fan for either the Wave 1 or Imp Fleet Announcements.

That is correct - also note that he has the crew-officer(?) icon, which is not what the commander upgrades have. So this fellow will be an upgrade to a specific ship, rather than the commander of the fleet.

Go check out the Gladiator entry in the Wiki, and you will see that I wrote "(not Adm. Screed)" in the list of upgrade cards.

He could still be deployable on an Imperial ship that isn't a Gladiator, correct? And any idea who he is?

I'm going to laugh if that card turns out to be "Admiral's Staff"

That would be funny.

However, that icon ( crewindiv.jpg ) does seem to indicate specific individuals. But maybe Admiral's aide?

Note the Admiral has a dot beside his name, denoting him as a Unique character. Also note how far offset to the left the word Admiral is on his card, compared to Admiral Screed. It would suggest that his name is longer than Screed, probably disqualifying the main on-screen Admirals Ozzel and Piett.

Perhaps Admiral Chiraneau? As far as obscure Imperial Admirals with long names go, I notice he has already been used by Fantasy Flight in the Decimator expansion for X-Wing, and his ability does affect squadrons, which makes sense with his previous appearance (and canon role) as a pilot.

Geeze, R22, you always find the good stuff!

Wonder who it is!? His/her arm and glove look AWESOME!

Jejerrod (sp?) wasn't an Admiral was he?

If they included him, we could 're-double' our efforts when rolling attack die!

He's a crew upgrade that buffs that ship's squadron command. Seems to be about letting engaged squadrons move has though they or their opponent had some rule (heavy?). The character art also seems to be an officer saluting.

I imagine he's the Imperial equivalent to the guy in the assault frigate pack.

As I post this I realize how crazy awesome giving enemy ships the heavy rule would be, both for bombers and for screens, not to mention Mauler's ability.

I'm guessing Admiral Chiraneu because reasons.
