Thanks Earthworm for doing the Store Championship list this year! Too busy to do it this year due to personal events.
Seattle/Puget Sound/Western Washington Organized Play Master List
Discordia is seriously starting theirs at 6? Does Thomas know he's required to do a cut?
Has to been 6am, which is crazy early... Otherwise you'll be there til 4 in the morning.
Uncles Games Tacoma is full, with 4 people on the waitlist.
I'm going to be writing an email to FFG OP, because I find the notion of holding a Store Championships with only 8 tables....concerning. This should be about open access. Was there another store that applied to hold one that didn't get it and possibly had more seats?
Edited by EarthwormI'm interested to hear the response you get, Earthy. I'm in agreement with you that I would hope no store was turned down for Uncles Tacoma to have a Store Championship. Part of me thinks that no store was turned down that requested to have one in the Puget Sound but I suspect if there was a store turned down, no one is going to admit to it.
I guess we'll see what kind of response you get.
I do commend you completely for what you have done for all of us in the area with this thread. HUGE props to you. And that is before even all the great work you have now done with sozin and I'm sure many others in getting Vassal League Season Zero up and running. You are an asset to two different Xwing communities.
Added info for Card Kingdom and cleaned up a few things. Thanks to Michael A on Puget Sound Star Wars Minis Facebook Group for some info.
I called Fantasium and they said they'd have a date settled within the week, and that they were thinking sometime in March.
As far as Discordia goes, most of their tournaments have been relatively small, so I don't think they're expecting to go too long or have to many rounds. It's a late night kind of place, as well. (I blocked off my calendar for most of the next day, if it does go way late).
Edited by EarthwormHopefully Fantasium picks a date that is not already booked. Although they were packed last year and had a waiting list. That is the third closest store to me and I like to get the tourney's where I know some people and where I spend some money now and then.

Thanks to everyone who showed up for the Winter Kit Tournament at Phoenix Comics and Games today! We had a 12-person tournament that went very smoothly, and everyone seemed to have a great time.
earth worm in case this helps here is the link to the game matrix store champion ship post. Sorry your not going to be able to make it this year. Best of luck this year.... ps don't forget to check for your y-wing dials after each round this year

I'm stuck working 90% of weekends, so any tourney is hard for me, I know your feels.
I just want to let you know that Uncle's Games in the Tacoma mall is doing regular "Casual X-wing play" on Tuesday evenings from 5-9.
Bummer that Uncle's Games is full. Anybody know what they capped the entrants at?

I want to say 24 if memory serves me right.
My northern Bothans inform me that Dark Tower's SC's are on the 19th, not the 12th of March.

I'm stuck doing both lately so meeples' store championship today could kill me.
Uncle's Games in Redmond has a weekly Star Wars Miniature Night every Wednesday from 6pm until 10pm.
We have been getting approximately 8 to 12 X-Wing players and occasionally some Imperial Assault players.
Phoenix Comics and Games will be hosting an X-Wing "Hanger Bay" tournament on Sunday, April 17th! Store opens at 11, tournament starts at Noon. $5 entry, Winter Tournament Kit prizes guaranteed and store credit prizes depending on entries. 16 players max, pre-registration will likely be available on http://phoenixseattle.com/ closer to the tournament date.
For the Hanger Bay format, each player brings TWO standard 100 point lists, and secretly chooses at the start of each tou rnament round which list to play, after seeing both of their opponent's squads. This adds an exciting new layer of variety and metagaming to your tournament play! Players are encouraged (but not required) to have each of their two lists be from a different X-Wing faction (Rebels, Imperials, or Scum and Villainy).
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, and fly casual!
Uncle's in Redmond will be hosting a X-Wing 100pt Highlander Tournament on the 23rd of April at Noon.
