Around the Table in Lynnwood is hosting this month's Puget Sound Team Epic tournament!
12973291_1107133192643325_44858662662448

Get to the shop before start time (12pm) this Saturday (14th) and prepare to have some epic fun.
Details can be found on the facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/576919455805756/

I updated the page (Vassal League continues to take up most of my hobby time). Upcoming events is good through June and there are a few changes/additions to game night info.

Dads and Kids tournament added at Uncle's in Tacoma on Saturday

Around the Table's new Summer League is up!

Drop by on Thursdays between 6 and 10pm for a load of X-Wing action, this time with fun rules for flying 'Canon' squadrons.

Not not canon like " this canon will send an Ewok squealing through the air at approximately 20 kubas per second ", but more like " IG-88B never took over the Death Star II in the redacted Canon!? WHAT!? "

For more information, including a complete list of the included 'Canon' squadron rules we came up with, check out our FFG forum post here - https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/224952-lynnwood-wa-x-wing-summer-league-canon-theme/

I'm booking a meeting room in Kirkland, WA (at the newly remodeled Kingsgate Library) this Saturday July 23rd, Noon - 4PM

...Looking for at least one other player to join me. I'll even teach new players. I may try to get a room once a week if this works out. I won't be able to host games at my own place until September (in Woodinville).

EDIT:

2 people already cancelled. I'm going to cancel the reservation, but the library still has smaller rooms available. Anyone interested PM me, please.

With no Store Championships this year for the 2017 Regional, I plan to hit every store that I went to this year for any tournaments, so I can get some big event practice in.

Very interested in events at Heroic Knight Games in Issaquah, Uncle's Games in Redmond, Games & Gizmos in Redmond, and also Around the Table in Lynnwood, though ATT is my "home" store, and I'm usually up on what they're planning.

September 10 tournament in Bellingham added

September 18 tournament in Tacoma Added

Seeking information about game nights (including attendance figures) and events at:

Cosmic Comics in Bellingham

Zulu's in Bothell

NW Sports Cards Center in Tacoma

Added those three stores, though information is still sparse.

Added NW Sportscards' monthly tournaments in Tacoma

I put Zulu's in the 'Eastside' category, though Bothell is fairly far north (did you know that Bothell is unique in that it is in BOTH King and Snohomish County? I didn't even think that was possible. Must be a jurisdictional nightmare for planning and revenue purposes)

Sunday, September 18th at 1 P.M.

Join us at Phoenix Comics and Games for our monthly X-Wing event. September brings us a standard Summer Kit tournament with the usual rules and rewards, plus an extra door prize for three lucky players - get your ships MAGNETIZED!

Just got back from Uncle's Games in Redmond. I placed 5th and missed getting one of the Wave 9 ship prizes by one place.

My list was Dengaroo.

97/100
Dengar — JumpMaster 5000 33
Predator 3
Zuckuss 1
Overclocked R4 1
Glitterstim 2
Countermeasures 3
Punishing One 12
Ship Total: 55
Manaroo — JumpMaster 5000 27
Push the Limit 3
Recon Specialist 3
R5-P8 3
Glitterstim 2
Engine Upgrade 4
Ship Total: 42
There were at least 4 (5?) Dengaroos tonight. A couple of TIE swarms, some Imperial aces with at least one Palpaces list, a two YT-2400 list.
I flew against another Dengaroo with a slightly different loadout.
A Jake, Tycho and two blaster turret Y wings list.
Ryad, Vessery and Deathfire.
Outer rim smuggler, regen Biggs, and Miranda
I did not get my 5th opponent's list. He was sick of playing against Dengaroo and conceded. I don't blame him.
I'd rather not guess and get my opponent's upgrades wrong. Hopefully some of them will post.

Announcing Phoenix Comics and Games October Tournament - Escalation style!

Join us Sunday, October 16th, at 1 P.M. for an X-Wing Escalation tournament with Summer Kit prizes. Escalation is an FFG-supported tournament format in which your squadron starts off small grows bigger each round.
  • First round is 60 squad points with a 50 minute time limit.
  • Second round is 90 squad points with a 70 minute time limit.
  • Third round is 120 squad points with a 90 minute time limit.
Each round after the first, you may only ADD ships and upgrades to your squad from the prior round, while otherwise following normal squad building rules. Every ship, pilot, and upgrade already in your squad must still be there. You may not remove upgrades. You may not move an upgrade from one ship to another. You may not replace one pilot with another. You CAN add upgrades to a ship that was already in your squad.
You must submit your squad lists for all three rounds at the start of the tournament. I recommend printing them out ahead of time.
Other tournament details:
  • $5 entry fee
  • 16 Players maximum
  • 3 rounds maximum - no cut to elimination rounds, ties broken by MoV
  • Wave 9 is here! Wave 9 ships are legal and welcome!
  • Summer kit prizes (TIE Fighter challenge coin, alt-art Corran Horn, acrylic Stress tokens, alt-art Predator)
  • Store credit prizes depending on number of entries
  • Facebook event link: https://www.facebook.com/events/1148175585228256/
