is there any limit on swarm sizes? for some reason i was thinking you were only allowed up to 6 ships per 100 point build?? Have no idea where i got that info??

No limit for normal games.

But the max you can have in a 100 list is 8 12 point ships.

For Epic you're limited to 12 of the same small ship and 6 of a given large ship.

So 12 Tie Fighters, or 6 Firesprays.

There's no limit to the number of ships you can have in a 100 point standard dogfight.

In Epic play there is the following limit:

Each player may field a maximum of 12 small ships of a single type and 6 large ships of a single type. For example, if a player fielded “Backstabber”, “Howlrunner”, and 10 Academy Pilots, he would reach his cap of 12 and could not field any more TIE fighters. Similarly, if a player fielded Colonel Jendon and 5 Omicron Group Pilots, he could not take another Lambda-class Shuttle.
