My Imperial Assault Insert (Plans Included)

By jonboyjon1990, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

So I got Star Wars Imperial Assault as an extremely generous gift at Christmas from my brother. It's awesome, but it contains almost 700 components and has the standard FFG 'gets it there safely' insert, with no real storage capabilities. So I knew I had to make a foamboard(foamcore) insert.

I looked at what others had been doing with their Imperial Assault inserts and drew inspiration from them - most people are using a tiered system of token, tile and figure trays. Many are also using trays to store the game's many different card types - which is great and reduces set up time, but it also takes up loads of room and doesn't really allow for any expansion. Likewise, many have only enough room to store the existing figures and no more.

So I set about designing and making an insert that focuses on storage and room for expansion of cards and figures, rather than reduced set up time.

Enjoy!

This is nicely done. Wish I had seen this before I spent money on Battle Foam's inserts.
