Advice on playing as Corran Dash?
Haven't seen too many, but it's unknown if it's because they're not good our just they have the perception of not being good.
Frankly, fly what you're most comfortable with. You'll have the best luck that way.
I personally think it has issues against Alpha-Strike Swarms, but you don't really see those often.
Against everything else, it really depends on your definition of "Standard".
I made the cut in a large store champ with a Dash Corran. Faced 2 decimator/gunner/Vader with gunner whisper lists and got murdered pretty bad.
Phantoms are prett hard on both of your ships. Try to kill them early.
What do you run Dash with, other than HLC + Outrider? I've seen variations of EPT and Crew.
Dash + HLC + Outrider + Kyle + PtL
Corran + VI + ACS + R2D2
Very standard stuff.

One of the standards, at least, although I assume you meant FCS, rather than ACS (Fire-Control Systems, vs ???).
You're also missing 4 points of upgrades, by my count. I'd suggest an Engine Upgrade on Dash as well.
Yes, I am missing EU. Thanks for reminding me. Here's my actual build:
Dash + HLC + Outrider + Kyle + PtL + EU
Corran + VI + FCS + R2D2

Alrighteous.
Your level 7 Dash in the Outrider should be wary from VI Phantoms outmaneuvering him, but the 4 die HLC with 2 actions and a Focus Token each turn means they fear your offense more than any other ship less skillful than them.
Corran Horn has two different modes of play, depending on how comfortable you are that Dash's Hole will remain unmolested.
He is an incredible flanker, and can easily hunt down enemies if you wish, but he's also great at punishing anyone who gets into Range 1 of Dash before they can fire.

Hopefully, Corran's double attack would help with killing Phantoms early.
Watch out for blockers.
What sorts of blockers have you encountered? TIE Fighters? Z-95s? Any others?

Outer Rim Smuggler, with Intel Agent, Navigator, and Anti-Pursuit Lasers.
I have not run this exact build yet, how do you folks clear stress, just use a green maneuver Right? Or am I missing something?

The other benefit is it allows Dash to move slow without committing, letting him avoid blocks, then he just dances around ships with Boost + BR or just uses it to cover the distance.
Edited by SkargothI just played a slightly different Dash-Corran build vs Jake-double B with adv. sensors-rookie X.
I won by a single point at 60 mins.
I learned that it's important NOT to rush towards your enemies, expecially if they fly in tight formation. Corran did pretty well as a flanker because my enemies focused on Dash who had some problems escaping from range 1 (no engine upgrade).
I'm not sure about ptl as i think the main problem with Dash is keeping him as safe as possible, so he needs mobility and/or defensive aids.
I may suggest to start very slowly and use asteroids at your advantage, either to break their formation and to escape where they can't follow. If they focus on corran turtle up and try to punish with hlc.
I'm not very experienced so I'm curious about veterans' tips & tricks.
I ran:
Dash + Outrider + HLC + Leebo + Lone Wolf
Corran + R2-D2 + PtL + FCS + Shield Upgrade
at a recent store championship. Ended up going 5-1 (losing a rematch with Leebo/Chewie in the finals). The important thing seems to be to make sure that Corran is the last ship alive so that he can make firings runs with a double tap and then run to recharge shields.
One problem I am having with SuperDash is that he seems to be going down too quickly to concentrated fire. All he has is a couple of green dice, which even with focus, isn't enough to deal with the 4+ dice attacks from Phantoms, certain Chiraneau setups, or Han setups where Han is basically guaranteed 3 hits.
Any advice on this? I might try dbmeboy's setup sometime as it appears more defensive, but I like SuperDash (with PtL, Kyle, and EU).

+1
Aim for the asteroids. They are great to land on. Spread your fire out. Shoot at as many different targets as possible. K-turn so you end up right in front of the enemy to throw them off.
Did I mention I hate Corran? ![]()
