I don't suppose anyone is/knows an awesome artist that would be open to drawing (or digitally creating or whatever) group or individual pictures for my star wars characters?
We've been using assorted pictures pilfered from the interwebs for the moment, but after seeing Oggdude's awesome character stands and binder I'm inspired to step my game up to next level, but I have the artistic skill of an angler fish.
I'm open to PMs!

I really want a style for my campaign. For the old Moon Swing Chronicles (see signature below), I had a great artist in the form of Mark Hudson who did pictures of many of the characters in the campaign and about half my NPCs
If you like rendered artwork, I think Aphrodite-NS on DeviantArt is the best for SW characters. A lot of her stuff is NSFW, but she does SFW commissions too. She actually plays a lot of the MMOs and has a decent knowledge of the lore too. She can do most humanoid characters (twi'leks, nautolans, zabrak, togruta, etc) or droids. Not cheap, but you pay for quality.

Uh, yeah. For years, one of my favorite NSFW items has been her “The Seduction of Darth Talon”. But I didn’t know that she also played the games, as well as did the artwork.

Yeah, Brad, she played the hell out of Galaxies, I think she was one of the Neutron Pixies or hung out with them. The Hyperion Bar or Club Climax are her usual backdrops. She's played a bit of the Old Republic MMO but I think she stopped a year or two ago.
Seriously nice artwork anyway - perfect for our grimy, grindhouse take on the game.

I wouldn't be. I've seen the typical being around $50 - $100 for a single character. More for a group, etc... It takes a lot of time to either get good quickly or just do the work, plus the cost of the tools and such for one's trade. Publishers and such are able to absorb the hit as they'll be selling 1000+ copies of the art in their printings to spread that cost around.
oh yes, I understand the cost, and I know it is justified. I just have a hard time justifying spending that when my players have a hard enough time coming up with backgrounds for their characters
