Enchanter - Wristlet of Wind

By AndrewMM, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

I was reading this card (because Whitewing mentioned how good he thinks it is), and now I wonder how good it is....

It reads: " Discard this card if a monster in this group does not move during this activation ".

What hapens with defeated monsters? I mean, does this text only take account of monsters still on the map, or talks about the whole group?

Defeated monsters wouldn't count since they really don't exist for the purposes of the game and any effects. Atleast that is my opinion.

I agree- a monster that is not on the map doesn't count because, more specifically, it does not activate. It can't "not move during its activation" because it doesn't have an activation. This would also cover monsters that are placed at the end of an OL turn- that monster doesn't activate with its group (or at all) that round.

OK, that's what I thought. Just couldn't find myself a good reason for it.

Thanks for the answers.

It's a spectacular card. Your monsters will pretty much always be attacking or moving every turn, and if they attack, they get a free movement from it, meaning it's very rare that you won't get to just keep the card on the monster group.

I do like this card, but just watch out for any party that has the ability to Immobilize. If you're using it on a melee group, that will be pretty much all it takes to put the Wristlet out of commission.

Well, that's why you need Ward of Peace , too.
