Hi Guys,

There are some organizers of local conventions that are thinking about hosting an event in January 2016 on the USS North Carolina. It's a WWII battleship that is sitting in harbor in Wilmington, NC. There is even a chance of sleeping in the ship, too.

The organizers like to host a variety of games and only charge one fee at the door. You can then sign up for various events. I'm thinking of a full tournament on one day and having several smaller stuff the rest of the time (furballs, epic, scenarios, etc). There would be prize support.

Would anyone think that is worth going to? It is in Wilmington, NC, which can be a drive, but IT'S ON A FREAKIN' BATTLESHIP!!!! I'm tempted to make X-wing happen at this event. Maybe even some Armada, if I can find people. Or Imperial Assault. I'd need more people involved. You get in free if you host enough events.

Alright, so I've talked to the guys from NOVA SQUADRON about it. I think we could probably make the event for about 30-50 people with some side events not during the tournament. I'll dig into this and see what I can find out.
