Captain Onoma - Axial Roll

By Funk Fu master, in Star Wars: Armada

Err, re impstars not doing it, Captain Yonka did that with Freedom in X-wing book 4, The Bacta War.

Yes, but took an absolute pounding doing it. Freedom was almost scrapped

To be fair to Mr. Yonka, he wasn't attempting to bombard a planet... He was attempting to bombard... a... Super... Star... Destroyer...

Yes, this is hardly a fair reference to try to state it wasn't effective for ISDs. I'm fairly certain an MC80 would have been scrapped in the same situation as well!

I'd like to go on record and say that I know Mr. Yonka is not real. However, I could not help but imagine him reading these forums while in dry dock and coming across this thread with a sudden, "OH COME ON!"

Hahaha, i could totally see that!

I liked his character actually, cool guy.

the difference beind also was that he was reactionary "Oh sithspit, my entire port side battery is slagged. HELM! when thrusters are back online, roll us to show our starboard side so it can get slagged too. No, Not that way you nerf herder, the other way so our heavy guns can still fire!"

Whereas Captain fish sticks was proactive. "Helm, begin axial role so that we show a new facing once weapons are reduced to 85% on a particular side. Theres a good fishman"

(Warning...slight...paraphrasing)

This completely filled my mind with a Captain Onama who, after serving with Solo for so long, has become cocksure, shouting, "Yargh, I'm a tough fish to catch, aren't I?" as Mon Remonda jumps into hyperspace. Meanwhile other bridge crew Mon Cals roll their bulbous eyes and say to one another, "Human humor."
