Not to be "that guy" but there's a whole new sub forum for this.

Now onto my own two cents.

I would probably fly the middle list. If you want bragging rights take the first list.

It's his first post don't fault 'em to hard. XP

Oops! Sorry!

Now regarding your suggestion, why do you prefer the middle list/why would the first list be harder (at least, I'm assuming that's the reason for the 'bragging rights' comment). These questions might be really basic, but I am a beginner!

Sure. The thing with a phantom is that they can't be the only dangerous thing in your list. They are catchable and killable and the rest of your list needs to be able to capitalize on that. With the first list it's going to be hard in turret meta because your margin for error is so small, one bad roll will ruin your game.

With the second list the howl runner swarm should be distracting and pack a hard enough punch to give your phanrom some breathing room.

Gotcha. What is your opinion on the Corran-Dash list?

Corran is fairly trimmed down: a core build for him.

The thing that stands out to me with the Dash is the Engine Upgrade - Push the Limit - Kyle Katarn aspect.

I'm not saying it's inelegant, mind, just not the first approach I'd take to it.

Stressing yourself may prove dangerous against a Rebel Control fleet (or, indeed, an Imperial fleet with Rebel Captive).

Still, getting 2 actions and a Focus Token per turn is pretty nifty, even if one of the two actions is usually going to be mobility-based to counteract your dependency on green maneuvers.

Though, that's less important, considering the turreted nature of your main guns...

Verdict:

+EV against SuperPhantoms, as your HLC Turret should do serious work in the match-up, even with their cloak up when you attack.

+EV against Fat Han.

+EV against VI SuperDash

Minor difficulty against Swarms, as you only get 2 ships with whom to attack, and no truly defensive upgrades. Your high-damage should make the match-up interesting, at least.

Major difficulty against Control elements, as stacked Stress shuts you down, and you have very few targets on whom they should concentrate.

Achilles Heel: Z-95 Alpha-Strike. If you see a fleet with 5-6 Headhunters with ordnance, you need to play extremely carefully. If they take Corran or Dash out on the first two rounds of combat, you're sunk.
