I apologize if this is a repeat, i did a search and found nothing. If you have ruthless or assault missiles and fire at a target within range 1 of a 2 section huge ship- say to the side, which part of the huge ship is effected. Nearest section to initial target? Initial target players choice, or your choice?

Can't seem to find it in the faq or rulebook.

Based on the rule for assault missiles that target the huge ship itself, I would say the splash damage would be applied to the closest hull section.
