Trying to get ready for Store Championship in March and I know there will be Big Ships (Decimator, Outrider, and Falcon), Swarms, and Phantoms. If Scum is legal by March 21 then that will throw much more into the mix. I also know I can't build for everything. Here are a few ideas I've been tinkering with. Also, if anyone wants to give me good suggestions, I don't want to use Big Ships or Echo/Whisper. I do like using the low PS Phantoms as decoys. I also don't have the Transport, Outrider, Decimator but pretty much 3 of everything else.
Delta Thunder
2x Delta Defenders w/ HLC
2x Obsidian Squadron TIE's
Basic idea that has worked well so far being 2-1 with it, Delta's sneak in while the TIE's rush in. Delta's then fire until needing to K-Turn and repeat. Lost to a Decimator with dual shuttles due to my own strategy and hitting too many asteroids. I then figured out my flying and never hit an asteroid the rest of the night.
Triple E
Corran Horn /w Push the Limit, Adv Sensors, R2D2
2x Knave Squadron
Corran is going to be a target and the focus while the Knave's can flank in and take pot shots. At least that is part of the plan.
Keyan and the Golds
Keyan Farlander /w Flechette Torp
3 X Goldies /w Ion Cannon
Ion Cannon while Keyan flies around causing havoc. A lot to chew through.
A-Z Swarm
3x Prototype Pilot /w Proton Rockets
2x Bandit Squadron
Bandit Squadron /w Ion Pulse Missle.
Z's fly up while the A's flank and get into range 1 to fire their rockets.
I know I need to get on Vassal to help play test my ideas and I'm working on learning how to play on Vassal. Suggestions from anyone or fixes?
