stele vs leebo

stele's ability

When your attack deals a faceup Damage card to the defender, instead draw 3 Damage cards, choose 1 to deal and discard the others.

leebo:

When you are dealt a faceup Damage card, draw 1 additional Damage card, choose 1 to resolve, and discard the other.

does stele happen first and then leebo can draw another one and decide which of the 2 to take?

I thought I saw an answer somewhere that Stele's ability goes off first, then Leebo's, but I can't recall where. But it makes sense, since you're not dealt the damage card until the attacker resolves Stele's ability.

From the wording it seems like Steles ability triggers first. You draw 3 cards but do not deal any of them until you select one. That card alone is then dealt to Leebo. Leebo gets to then draw 1 more card, choose which to keep and discard the other.

The logic is basically that Maarek's ability delays the dealing of a damage card, meaning it completely resolves before Leebo's ability triggers.

I agree. Maarek's ability goes first since leebo has to wait until he is given the face up damage card by Maarek.

Yeah I asked a few weeks back we pretty much agreed maarek first then leebo.

Mareek will draw 3 cards and choose 1 to "deal" to Leebo.

Leebo will then draw an extra one and choose which one will affect him.

If he has determination, he will then possibly discard it all together. (if one of them is a pilot crit)

If he then has determination, he will discard it all together.

Well, assuming he manages to find a pilot crit.

I had that typed, and it must have wiped it. St00pid tablet. Fixed now :)

So, if Leebo does find a pilot crit and he does have Determination does he take damage?

(I'm kinda new to the game I played a little, so sorry if this sounds dumb.)

No he does not.

First Maarek, then Leebo, then Flexo, then Fry
