What are truly the problems with Void in it's current state?

By Eithinis, in UFS General Discussion

I don't know why my last post looked that way. In any case, I ran Raphael at the Texas Throwdown teams, he works great, The deck's only glaring weaknesses Rejection (dir) and the fact that I checked my 1 CC's too often. I didn't even run Spike. 2nd turn Darkness Blade is where it's at and the deck was chock full of 6 CC's along with Freewill and Heel Snipe. In most cases, I only had to commit 1 card to make DB pass.

I just won a regional with void Akuma. /flex.

Void can loop Juni's Spiral Arrow with:

Body of Souls

Valuable Experiance

Researching the Past + Fatherly Love

I really like Void as a symbol, it needs a little extra support but with the July 1st bannings, it gets so much more powerful. The only thing it lacks is either a solid damage pump, or momentum gen. Considering it has access to Realm of Midnight and Shooting Cap, playing attacks isn't something it needs to be worried about.

Honestly I'm liking that Ivy of Punishment build more and more.

with the loss of LotM and Chester's Backing, the All version of Ivy really lost her punch. being able to draw all your attacks via her ability + PotM with Visions of Destiny and LotM was sick. Void Ivy has access to most of the pieces, drawing enough attacks to kill them might be a problem, but Void can spam out foundations like nobodies business if you play AquaK + Abelia's.

Aquakenisis + tough outer shell is a really nice combo if you don't require reppa or any draw based attack to win, especally if you have life (I think only ivy right now). Throw in some sakaur stuff or even her herself and you have something very cute to play with.

They attack, you discard thier hand, eat the attack and gain back life, procede to murder. I'm a big fan of shadow flares nubers right now in this regard, and sardines as well. HAnd stand kick shows alot of potental. With the lack of mometnum on the symbol it is tough to use multiples, but its doable.

That being said controling the power is really like my favoriate foundation ever right now. If you cant find a way to win with void your really just thinking with your head mired by the other symbols of the game.

Grats on your Lubbock win, Sage!

void is so beast. was it arrow lock.

Yeah, Heel Snipe + Akuma's E + Spiral Arrow + Body of Souls.

i have definately been considering a build like that for void. possibly using chun li with akuma's shoryupa.

Yeah, I don't know how possible a long term lock is with Chunners, but it's definitely worth a try or seeing how well it would work. The two momentum is a LITTLE hard to get every single turn, but it wont be impossible by any means.
