This is not a worried post that the game will not continue, as it is super popular, and I am sure that FFG has plenty of stuff in the pipeline. I am just surprised by the lack of information regarding those plans.

I fully expect to see another wave this year as well as one or more aces-type packs. When do you think this information will be released? Am I just crazy or impatient?

More like impatient. The news cycle has been so far ahead, by the time we're getting a new wave/release there's little to no excitement becasue everybody is already looking forward to stuff that is 3-6months out.

Don't get me wrong, i like to know what's coming in the future, but you might aswell try to enjoy the game right now as opposed to always look ahead to stuff that's not even coming anytime soon. The raiders is still about 3months away, isn't that enough for us?

Given how much FFG has in the pipeline, with Wave 6 and the Raider, along with Armada and Imperial Assault, I think that they are probably going to try and get those out before announcing more ships.

There's been a lot of griping about having releases spoiled 6 months out. I kind of agree. I'm also pumped about wave 7, though so now I will pretend that I never had those complaints.

I'm tired of things getting leaked so far in advance and everything being known way ahead of time. I've heard all about the Outrider and Decimator for months, but haven't gotten mine yet as I included it with a S&V pre-order. My fault, I know, but let me at least get with the toys that everyone's talking about before they release something new and everyone on the podcasts are going on about that due to playing it on Vassal.

The pattern for the last couple waves has been that the announcement for the next wave came out the same week as the current wave goes on sale. So whenever S&V actually get released, that is when we will probably see wave 7.

My only complaint about spoilage is the EPT in the starviper. We're so close we must know!

Well, Scum won't be here for a few more weeks, and there are a lot of things that could still be teased for the Raider. FFG's pace from last year would give us the first announcements about Wave 7 once the Raider is close to hitting shelves.

But I actually hope it's an indication that FFG is slowing down their X-wing releases a bit. Two waves per year, plus one or two products like the Raider or Aces, sounds like plenty to me and my wallet. Although adding Scum to the game will help things last a bit longer, I'd like them to take their time and get things right on their end--from the design side all the way through to production and distribution. And they can't do that if they're in a rush to meet our demand for the next entry in the product line.

The only time they break from this is when they go to Gencon and want to make a big announcement. At that point they will double up with annoucements (Imperial Aces and Rebel big ships etc)

Amen. Though my reasons is more that I would like them to take the time to get caught up on their production. The game can't grow any more if no products are available, and people who might have been interested in starting have to wait and wait and wait and eventually loose interest and move on to other games.

We actually didn't get Imperial Aces announced until after Gencon. And the Epics were unveiled much, much earlier than a normal release.

When they announce stuff actually has very little to do with what is released and about to be released. It is all about what their current release of the new product looks to be. Generally, they will announce something 4 months before intended release (which has little to do with actual release).

Imperial Assault and Armada should have little to do with information about X-Wing.

Although I too would rather not hear about Wave 7 until I've had wave 6 for at least a week or two.

I would say that it would be a wise decision to slow things down a bit, especially since they are adding an entirely new faction to the playing field. Let the dust settle, bring out the Raider and work on the equivalent for the Scum (so they can join epic fights with their own huge ship).

Then I would focus on restocking so that everyone can have an equal chance to play what they like

The problem is that adding a new faction is a reason to INCREASE the pace. Cash in on all the excitement surrounding the new release, plus S&V will still be 2 ships (plus a huge) down compared to the other factions and there will be a push to bring them up to parity.

I don't have Wave 6 (it's not even off the boat) and the Raider has been pushed out until 2nd Quarter.

I'm fine with no new announcements. I'd like to get what's been promised.
