Sorry if it has been asked before but:
If Jan's Hawk is destroyed during combat, her ability to boost another ship's attack is still in effect for that round, right (since it's declared at the start of Combat)?

Yes.
Jan's ability is declared when the attack is made, not at the beginning of combat. So if she's destroyed before the ship you want to use it on attacks, it's lost.
Yes, the card says, "When another friendly ship at Range 1-3 is attacking, if you have no stress tokens, you may receive 1 stress token to allow that ship to roll 1 additional attack die." I'm not sure where you got the idea it's declared at the start of combat.
Besides, it requires her to take a stress to activate it, which she can't do if she's been destroyed.
Edited by DailyRichOK, sorry, my bad. I didn't double check the wording of her ability and mixed it with Roark's abilty, which is declared at the start of combat.

I can see how that would happen. And just to be complete with it, Roark's ability will last even if he is destroyed before the ship he boosts fires.
And before anyone says it - yes, that's pretty unlikely, it would take a counter-Roark with initiative or something like Rieekan, but it is possible ![]()
The only time that Jan can give her extra damage after being destroyed is in a simultaneous fire situation where the other side has initiative. If Chiraneau has initiative and destroys Jan, she could still take a stress to give Corran an extra die on his attack.
EDIT: Had the wrong pilot in there.

This wouldn't work. Jan can only boost an attack as it's happening, and Farlander won't attack until PS 7, after Jan had been removed.
You could do it with, say, Ten or Luke - it comes to your PS 8s, Luke attacks and Jan boosts, and then Jan attacks and is removed.

I think I got Keyan and Corran mixed up there. All of the pilots were suppossed to be PS8 in that example.
Does Jan boost both attacks with gunner or corran's ability?

No. Jan boosts a single attack.
