The Nova open, a massive war gaming event in the Washington DC suburbs, had tickets go on sale this morning and by all accounts the x wing events are nearly sold out. Why this is interesting is that the 36 seat tourney isn't until September! So major props to TO Roy Scales for organizing what looks to be an already wildly successful event!

Yeah I logged on at about 12:30 EST to try and check out with the SuperNOVA option, and those were already gone. Oops! I did however register with the normal events, so I plan on being there!

Supernova passes sold out in less than an hour, I think in no small part due to Roy haranguing the members of nova squadron that they were going to sel out fast. I wouldn't be surprised if more than a third of the passes were snapped up by xwing players.

I registered for the Championship and I'm thinking about playing in some of the Hunger Games as well, especially if I can get some of my friends there for some games.

Yeah, I woke up in the morning, had breakfast, and Super NOVA was gone! The X-Wing Narrative Events are all sold out as well, so we are currently at Hunger Games and the GT and hope that they open up spots for the Narrative.

That being said, it will be an amazing event!

Many of the attendees are traveling from far and wide, inclusive of Washington State and the like.

The X-Wing Narrative Imperial and Rebel spots each sold out in a matter of hours, There's now a 6-person wait list for the Rebel side of the Narrative and an 8 person wait list for the Imperial side.

The Championship has 64 slots, and there are only 23 left.

The Hunger Games have 24 slots per Hunger Games, and there's 1 left for #1, 10 left for #'s 2 and 4, and 3 left for #3. So, in short, out of 96 Hunger Games spots, there are only 24 left.

We'll do what we can to add space but can't make any promises ... this is going to be one of the bigger X-Wing events anywhere, I believe, with over 60 unique X-Wing attendees after only 4 days of registration. Don't miss out

PS - You should also check out all the other things going on ... master painting classes taught by the likes of Roman Lappat and Raffaele Picca (Massive Voodoo), charity con-operated bar and lounge with cheap craft beer and cocktails for charity, free travel proximity to Reagan National Airport and all of Washington, DC (we're effectively in the city proper), demos and gaming across a huge range of games, awesome vendor hall, the works. Must-attend event.

The problem is that I'm fighting with myself over whther to try to do X-Wing or Infinity. It's a good thing they don't have a Dreadball tourney too, otherwise I'd be in a real quandary...... although I think they should add Dreadball because it's awesome.

I think I'm going to try to do Hunger Games on thursday, then Infinity ITS on friday.

You can definitely do all of the above and more, I would think.

Lots of time to go, I'm just playing it by ear for now. I still have to figure out travel arrangements, and minor details like what ships I'm bringing and in what cases!

I haven't seen any, but the Fly Casual channel on youtube does have a playthrough video, which might help. It's certainly entertaining, so if nothing else you'll probably get a good laugh out of it.

Except after watching it they are not following the original hunger games format rules but some weird half assed simplified version.
