More COOP?

By Badgermilk, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hi,

For you that enjoy the coop gameplay in this one, what custom rules do you prefer?

I've been looking around a little and found a few, RedJaks Automated Overlord seems to get the most Thumbs up on Boardgamegeek, but what is the favorit around here, if any? =)

Official Coop (FS & NI)

The official co-op adventures are great. Well worth the price.

However, if you want to increase your cooperative enjoyment of Descent 2E, RAOV V3 is the way to go. RedJak has also put together his DelvenDeep Expansion , for a randomized hack-and-slash adventure.

And if you really want to maximize the potential of your Descent 2E set, you can also add my Legendary Play Variant Rules , for near endless quest and campaign delving, either with an Overlord or cooperatively via RAOV.

I like the game mechanics of Forgotten Souls and Nature’s Ire, but the official rules offer a not so high replayability while requiring a lot of time. <_<

After a few game of Forgotten Souls we have started to test a variant using less tiles and currently we are using the same variant for mixing Forgotten Souls and Nature’s Ire. In case you are interested please have a look at Sudden Death at the Cursed Mountain

However I would be really glad if FFG will come up with a cooperative expansion providing a good replayability while requiring a playing time not so different from D&D games. :)

I wonder if FFG will be doing more co-op adventures, the GNK is overdue.
