Has anyone played on a round 3 x 3 board instead of a square. I know the rules state 3 X 3, but does this have to be square?

We are going to make one in a few days and try it out. Why round, well your not corned or forced into playing limited or predictable moves when cornered. Being unpredictable with the movement flow would be tactilely challenging and add a new dynamic. Any thoughts?

I've played 1 game on a 3x3 round table. It didn't make an enormous difference, but it was fun none the less.
