Artifact of the Spider Queen

An artifact that was created long ago from the suffering of many innocents, there was once a clan in the east who was run by a wicked woman they called the spider queen, she was vicious towards everyone especially men, she was very cruel to her subjects and usually sacrificed them for uses in dark rituals in hopes to give her and her clan more power, she was often seen communing with demons and otherworldly spirits this lead to more of her clan fearing her. Eventually she got greedy and started sacrificing even more of her people, some of her loyal soldiers too, because she was feeling the effects of age and mortality, she couldn’t stand the thought of dying so she sought immortality through her rituals. This eventually lead to her death. But from the wake of her last ritual on her corpse appeared to be a deadly weapon of exceptional power, the weapon has had few owners since then for all of them fear the evil and wickedness that is carried within the object, some say that the queen still lives within the artifact, in a sense fulfilling her final wish to live forever.

Quality: the weapon is considered a scythe of +10 Quality capable of damaging spirits

Visually: the artifact appears to be a small metal and bone backpack with a harness the user is strapped into when not in weapon form, in weapon form it released two autonomous tentacles made of metal of metal and bone.

Handling: the weapon is considered very tricky to use you need stats equal to 9 strength 9 dexterity, and 9 willpower to use it.

Fusion: the weapon when put on will force itself upon the users skin and spine and be unable to be removed until they die, an attempt to resist this bond must pass a phr check of 160, if so the wearer then does not use the weapon it instead falls off.

Haunted: the weapon is haunted by the soul of the old queen who created it, she may attempt to communicate with the user if she believes they are wicked enough that she can influence them.

Curse of Mortality: every day that the weapon is attached to the user they lose 30 life points, if the user is male they lose 40 instead. life points lost this way still recover normally.

Hidden weapon: when the weapon is sheathed and the blades are lowered into the artifact the weapon is almost entirely hidden it would require an appraisal check of inhuman to detect it

Blood sacrifice: when the weapon is drawn it demands a sacrifice for its youth, the user will be unable to sheathe the weapon normally, they must either kill something of at least 25 presence, or they must sheathe it by rolling an MR check of 180, if they fail the weapon demands a sacrifice and will act on its own Attacking the nearest person to the user, if there is nobody near the user the weapon then claims 80 life points from the user, life points lost this way recover at the rate of sacrificed life points

Symbiosis: the weapons are now part of the user and thus can be controlled through thought, if the character is immobilized they can still use the weapon unhindered as long as they are conscious and the artifact isn’t blocked. The user can attack with these weapons as normal, allowing additional attacks. If the user decides to only use the blades they only take a -10 penalty to additional attacks made.

Blades: the weapon has two tentacle blades protruding from it and can be called on at will, when they have spilled enough blood the user may sacrifice another 30 life points, 40 if male, to release an extra two blades from its back to a maximum of 4 at first level of sacrifice, and 6 at final level. life points lost this way recover at the rate of sacrificed life points.

Blood of the weak: the weapon has three stages depending on the amount of blood spilled by it, once the weapon claims 600 life points it reaches level 2 increasing its quality by +5, and once it reaches 1500 life points it reaches level 3 increasing quality by another +5. This counts the amount of blood sacrificed by the user daily but not blood spilled by weapons besides this one.

Vanity: the user of the weapon must make a constant action to become more powerful and to look better and must care about their appearance or the weapon feels like the user is unworthy. The user must care about their looks and must always take opportunities to become more powerful.

Eviscerate: once the user has reached level 3 with the weapon they now have a unique ability, once in battle they spill 100 life points they will be able to once every 5 turns perform an attack with all 6 blades at no penalty and with the opponent not being able to counterattack until its over. (they may not make another action this turn if they do so)

POWER LEVEL 3+

Damage: 50 Speed: +10 Req. STR : 9 Prim: Cut

Weapon type: Scythe
