miralukans and the empire

By miishelle, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

the empire had spent decades hunting down force users. how do you guys think the miralukans faired?

Miraluka

"When the Empire arose from the ashes of the Old Republic, the Miraluka suffered tremendously. The Jedi Purge wiped out thousands of Miraluka, as a result they were inspired to join the Rebel Alliance. While a troubled few were pressed into service as pawns and spies for the Empire, these few either fell to the dark side or destroyed themselves."

Start with that and take it anywhere you want.

Yeah, in my game galaxy they largely didn't survive to see the first Death Star. Alpheridies was base delta zero'd in the clone wars at the latest. If you want to play one, we'll talk, but an entire near-human set of natural force users is just too hard to make function in the Empire...

awesome. one of my players is a miralukian. his obligation came up, so I gave him a retired commander of a miralukian death camp. its good to know that wasn't a bad call.

mouthy, is it strange.that every time I read one of your comments, I hear this old grizzled vet kinda voice. like Clint Eastwoodesq. quick, say "how many shots did I fire" speech.

Pure Miralukas are probably completely gone. Not impossible that they hid during purges and started repopulating, but I don't know. But, assuming there is cross-species breeding between humans/near-humans, it's possible there can be some 1/300th or whatever people out there and they have the chance to pop up with the Miraluka lack-of-eyes thing.

Yeah, pretty much that really. I imagine that race was largely wiped out or completely isolated by the time of the empire; largely because theres an absence of any real mention of them beyond KOTOR. That being said, they are included in force and destiny as a pickable race so I may be wrong about this.

If you want someone to play one? Well, keep in mind that force users don't have to be Jedi. It's quite easy to have an isolated group of this species out there that has chosen to avoid the greater galaxy and develop their own ways of coping with their senstivity. After all, with Jedi hunting for your children all the time (I imagine a naturally force senstive race would be approched non-stop) or inquistation looking for raw material, it would be difficult for them to intermix with the republic or the empire.

Mirialan (Green people with square tattoos) are in force and destiny, Miraluka (No eyeballs, all force sensitive) are not.

Aaaaaahhhh thanks, now I see what happened. That one totally threw me.

Anyone make Miraluka species stats

Anyone make Miraluka species stats

So far as I can tell, they are not in the “Unofficial Species Menagerie”, or in SavageBobs’ “The Great Movie Alien Compendium” thread.

On these forums, if you use the Search function at the top of the page, you will find that there is a thread on this subject at http://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/topic/120757-species-statting-miraluka/?hl=miraluka

However, there are lots of differing opinions on exactly what their stats should be. So, feel free to pick one out from that list of posts, and run with it.

the main debate, from what I remember is weather or not they get a force die. I say no. that die represents years of training, not being able to see.

Whether they get and FR, No FR, or are required to take one of the universal specs like Exile or Emergent.

More importantly how whichever of the above you go with effect their starting XP.
