I'm curious, once wave 6 is out, which of those four teams would you bring to a tournament if you had no idea what the local meta would be?

I like #3 or 2. Well really I just like AT's. A free evade at range 3 (normally at least) is nothing to sneeze at.

Indeed, could potentially be better than the evade token sometimes, occasionally.

Notice that I used the words ''potentially'', ''sometimes'' and ''occasionally'' in the same sentence so... it's really situational... and there I added a fourth one!

But in all seriousness, I really love the Autothruster upgrades, it's kinda like buy an insurance against turrets.

Seller: Interceptors! Ah! That's a really nice ship you're lookin' at mate! I see I'm dealin' with an expert here! But have you thought about turrets? Those little fighters really hate goin' against 'hem! Could I offer you a little modification called Autothruster? With these equiped, you'll laugh at those ship firin' outside their arc! And all that for the low cost of only 2pts! What's 2 pts to protect your brand new 22pts investment?

What about combining list 1 & 2? Do half of one and half of the other. AT are good against turrets, but not so great against other ships, whereas PTL is kind of the opposite. By getting half of each type, you'll be more adaptable.

I think Push the Limit, Autothrusters, and Stealth Device on a squint is the best load out. Little pricey though. Would do maybe Soontir Fel and Jax with some academies running around as blockers

That's also something I would consider, but since it's more a thread about being curious about what other players prefer than needing tip on list building, I prefered to keep those list as simple as possible.

So far, it looks like Treybert favor list with Autothruster but not necessarily with PtL(2-3), you still favor going with 4 ships than 3 more equiped (1-2) and FNG tie pilot favor going with 3 ship but all with PtL and Autothruster and another upgrade (3).

So far, I'm glad to see that some people seems to think that Interceptor might be viable without PtL.

Soontir with PtL is already a beast. Once Autothruster is out, he'll be a monster. Stealth Device will only be adding insult to injury. ;P In the end, I will probably vary with Targetting Computer sometimes so he can also snipe. Fel+PtL+AT+TC=34pts.

This is the single most exciting thing about autothrusters (for me).

I would love to see Royal Guards become more useful as a result of autothrusters, but ultimately, I feel their pilot skill just doesn't cut it (competitively speaking - outside of tourneys, I will continue to use them).

Our Emperor doesn't want your lowly Tempest Pilot or Saber Pilot into his Pure Royal Guard Squadron, regardless of their talents.

Seeing that all your Interceptors have Autothruster but not PtL, I'll put you in the camp that favor Autothruster over Push the Limit. So 2 or 3.

In all seriousness, I'm not sure about a team build only with them, but I can definetely see 1 or 2 with PtL and Autothruster being a very addition to any Empire team. Something along the line of the first team Fnords posted, although it might need a little boost against high PS and maneuvrable ships.

Targetting Computer on both Jax and Fel and you're good to go....

And seeing that you took both PtL and Autothruster on both your Interceptors and that you chose a 3 ship build, I'll put you in the third team group!
