Sorry if this has been answered before but I could not find an answer.

at the end of the Dash Rendar crew card it states that your attacks can not be obstructed. me and another player were not sure if this is a statement or a requirement for his text. Which is it?

A statement, meaning a ship with Dash on board can shoot through asteroids without giving the defender an extra defense die.

This also includes shooting through debris field and ships with tactical jammer as well.

Or shooting thought huge ships. Aka your Tantive can fire through your transport without giving the other guys more green dice

No he can't. Touching a ship after an overlap is not the same as an obstruction.

It says "can not" instead of "may not". That means it is a forced effect; you have no choice, his attacks cannot be obstructed by any means.

So I can shoot the ship I'm touching?

Yeah bumping into a ship is not 'obstructed'. It's just a rule of the game. You cannot fire on ships that you are touching (unless you are Arvel).

Obstructions are anything that would normally add a green dice to the defenders roll for it being in the way. Such as asteroids or a ship with tactical jammer.
