Maximum actions

By Grand Moff Turtle, in X-Wing

So, just for fun, I decided to try and come up with a way to perform as many actions in a single turn as possible. Here is my idea (I doubt there is any point in doing this during the actual game, but hey.)

Jake Farrell (24)
Push the Limit (3)
Marksmanship (3)
Experimental Interface (3)
A-Wing Test Pilot (0)

Airen Cracken (19)
Squad Leader (2)

Green Squadron Pilot (19)
Wingman (2)

Total: 75

So, here's how it works:

Jake moves, performs a Focus action and does a Barrel Roll from his abilty. (2 actions)
Airen moves, coming in next to Jake, and uses Squad Leader to give him an action. Jake Evades and triggers EI to use Marksmanship. (4 actions, 1 stress token.)

Combat starts, Green Squadren uses Wingman to remove Jake's stress token.
Airen fires and triggers his ability. Jake Target Locks and then triggers PTL to Boost, bringing him to a total of 6 actions.

Soooo yeah. Not sure why someone would do this, but they can if they want to.
Dark side cookies for anyone who comes up with a way to perform even more actions.

You could always swap out the GSP for Lando with wingman and PtL for daredevil and you'll still have 6 actions per turn but 7 to choose from.

Edit: and if you can play with more points you can put in Kyle Katarn to hand Jake a focus to pull off the seventh action.

I once ran:

Darth Vader + Daredevil + Engine Upgrade + Homing Missile

Turr Phennir + Veteran Instincts

Soontir Fel + Push the Limit + Stealth Device

Gets you effectively 7 actions per turn out of 3 ships. Could get it up to 8 by cutting points somewhere to give Phennir Push the Limit as well.

If you want the maximum number of actions for your entire squad I don't think you can beat 5 black squadron pilots with PtL, and an AP for a total of 11 actions.

I was aiming for the maximum amount of actions from a single ship, and Darth Lurker's idea with Lando and Kyle seems to nail it at 119 points:

Kyle Katarn (21)

Lando Calrissian (44)
Wingman (2)

Airen Cracken (19)
Squad Leader (2)

Jake Farrell (24)
Daredevil (3)
Chardaan Refit (-2)
Marksmanship (3)
Experimental Interface (3)
A-Wing Test Pilot (0)

Total: 119

Focus+Barrel roll on Jake, Evade from Lando's movement, Target Lock from Squad Leader; Boost from Kyle's Focus token, EI off the boost for Marksmanship and a stress, remove it with Wingman and Daredevil after Cracken shoots. 7 actions in a single round from a single ship, though you can't pull it off in 100 points, sadly.

Jake Farrell (24)
Daredevil (3)
Marksmanship (3)
Experimental Interface (3)
A-Wing Test Pilot (0)

Airen Cracken (19)
Squad Leader (2)

Cluster Missiles (4)

Garven Dreis (26)

84 points

- Jake moves

- Jake focus action (1)

- Jake barrel roll action (2) from pilot ability

- Airen moves

- Airen Squad Leader action

- Jake Marksmanship action (3)

- Garven moves

- Garven focus action

- Airen attacks with cluster missiles, giving two actions to Jake. (Airen had a TL from a previous round.)

- Jake Target Lock action (4)

- Jake Daredevil action (5)

- Jake attacks

- Garven attacks, uses his focus token and hands it to Jake.

- Jake boost action (6) from pilot ability

- Jake triggers EI

- Jake evade action (7)

- Jake receives stress

7 actions for 84 points.

Edit:

Add Chardaan Refit and replace Garven with Kyle for only 77 points.

All the actions after step 5 are illegal as Jake gets stressed from daredevil and even if he could, EI can't trigger evade. To fix it you just have to swap 5 and 7, though Jake will get double stressed at the end.

I guess we have a winner XD

Edit: after seeing the following posts maybe not.

That would have to be a scenario because in epic play, you can't field three rebel transports.

7 actions for 65 points

What I dig about this one is how cheap it is, too. There's totally enough points left for a few more Z-95s with missiles, or whatever, to round it out and make an almost-playable gimmick list. Plus it fits the fluff; three Z's plodding along and then this E-Wing zipping all over the place like a madman, flying in circles and chatting on the comms about how great his new ship is.

Appropos of nothing, but I must hates the OP forevers. There can be only one, and now I can never be a Grand Moff! I will have to destroy you now, nothing peronal.

Poor Jake Farrel. He'll get all those actions and still do like 1 damage which an imperial TIE would easily evade

Why must you do this, my shelled friend? Join me, and together we shall rule the Galaxy! Or at least the parts of it that involve the manouvering of small miniatures.

I like this. 10 actions between four ships. I've gotten Tycho to have 21 stress tokens at the end of a match (it was a little longer than 6 turns though...)
