I cracked open some of my old WEG D6 Star Wars RPG Sourcebooks (particularly, Gundark's Fantastic Technology Personal Gear) and found some interesting items to incorporate (hopefully with future expansions).

Most of these I picked for their AoE/Control aspects (the Thunderer I picked because it's hands down my favorite weapon in the Star Wars Universe). I know there has been a number of people looking for a way for players to 'control' the battlefield a bit more. Obviously, they'd need to be balanced/play tested, but I think they could all find a nice, balanced raison d'etre, and they all already exist in the AU so FFG doesn't have to create some new 'thing' in Star Wars.
