With the Lando (crew) and C3-PO cards paired, can you use 3-PO to guess during Lando's "Action"?

Action: use Lando (crew) to roll 2 defense dice.
Before rolling the dice use 3-PO to guess "0" evades.
Roll the 2 defense dice RESULT: 2 focus.
Can you then add 1 evade die to your result (from 3-PO) to assign 2 focus tokens and 1 evade token to the ship?

Yes, this does indeed work.

Keep in mind though, your best chances for activating C-3PO happen when you roll 1 evade die. So if your choice is between using it on the Lando roll or when rolling 1 defense die from an attack (if this were on a falcon for instance) save it for the attack.

Edit: actually, I think the only (non-epic) ship with 2 crew on it for rebels is the falcon, so yeah - save it for being attacked unless by some chance you're only being attacked by ships with outmaneuver or wedge that drops your agility to 0.

Threepio's ability has to bee used before you roll your die. The evade token can be spent afterwards.

It's the difference between +5/8 of an evade, and +1 of an evade.

Still, when using the combo, you want to guess 1 evade. That crops up 30/64 of the time, as opposed to 25/64 of none and 9/64 of two.
