Are the miniatures compatible with the descent board game?

I Have everything for descent 2,0 expect guardians of deephall, I play descent as a board game and also use it as an RPG, so I need to know if the newly announced giant is the same size as the giants from Crown of Destiny. If they are the new giant pose from battlelore can be the master monster for descent. and I can use him for other purposes in my RPG.

Anyone have both?

thank you that helped, and a different sculpt is what I was looking for. That way painted minis don't need a color difference to identify the master monster.
