Quick BRT and Akuma R: question.

By Just Doin' Work, in UFS Rules Q & A

Scenerio

player A: plays attack/asset/foundation/action

Player B: BRT/Akuma's

Player A fails it, does it get discarded or stay in the card pool?

Just trying to figure out if I should try to bait people into using their BRT's on my chase cards, etc.

I know blocks get discarded when they fail due to a BRT, but what about normal combat phase checking?

From the AGR:

8.1.3.5 If the player fails to play a card from his hand as a form, the card goes to the discard pile with no effect. Then play proceeds to the End Phase (See 9.0 The End Phase).

However Akuma and BRT both say to ignore the last sentence of that statement.

If your opponent is playing an Enhance or Response card, if they fail the control check, those cards are immediately discarded as well.

i'd also like to add, its not about "staying" in the card pool...technically the card was never there.

You announce a card, make a CC, after you pass, THEN it enters the card pool.
