For what it's worth, my Cardhaus order has changed to shipped... core, 1 of each ship, plus dice.

Given the announced delay, and that the expansions are still at the printer I would be manually confirming that email lol great for you if it has though!

Cardhaus has all the Star wars Armada items as available on Feb 28th. I don't see how that can be the case when the expansions haven't even shipped to the US from China yet.

Did the store keep track of their customers, and if so can you use their database to set up a gaming club? Alternatively, did they have a Facebook presence, which would amount to the same thing?

The group I played with was very fragmented. The 40k scene imploded after a few tournaments that nobody had fun with. Everyone is now going to other stores just way out of the way in regards to where I live.

I'm sure there must be some huge gaming groups in Toronto. Even if you just got out once a month it would be worth it. I have to travel 45 mins to an hour to get to the nearest gaming store myself. I am lucky in that my wife is a gamer too though.

Yeah, I just found another nearby. I sent another email to tell them not to cancel my order. So now I will wait and see what happens. I think I acted to fast in regards to the situation.

As we all suspected. MMs notification system jumped the gun. My order status went from pre order to ready to ship to complete ...... back to preorder =) They must have caught the mistake as they were shipping out my S&V goodies. Anyway , just thought I'd provide an update.

I noticed the IA dice pack , that was On The Boat yesterday is now In Stores. Hopefully we'll see this kind of status change with our Armada cores. =D I have far too much time on my hands when I'm on Med Leave lol!

Okay, I have you down for that date range. If FFG gets Armada in just under the Q1 wire of March 31st, then great glory shall be yours, though you will certainly have to wait for Wave 1.

Might I suggest ordering from your FLGS? It may not be as cheap, but you won't have to deal with these shipping problems. Also, you help support a place where you can go to play the game with people in your community.

I would, unfortunately my local game store is both archaic and not very friendly. I live in a small town and as far as I know the store doesn't offer any events or actually play space for gaming, just a few shelves of games and movies. Which is unfortunate for both the game store and my prospects of a local Armada group. There are larger towns around an hours drive, but that would be difficult for me to attend any sort of events. The one bonus however is I am only two and a half hours from FFG's headquarters, so occasionally I may need to drive down there.

I am not trusting the FFG's estimate of release times. They still have Wave 1 listed as a Q1 release but they haven't even been put on the boat according to the upcoming page. They are not going to make it by the Q1 deadline even if they were put on the boat today. And the lack of info has me thinking we may not see Armada before April.

Hope I'm wrong but the situation looks grim for their Q1 projection. (Unless they are Ninja'ing in everything without updating their Upcoming page.)

From what I understand, it gets updated when the entire production run has been put on the boat, but that they can send it on boats piecemeal. It's possible that there will be a small amount of Wave 1 available when the Core Set hits the shelves, and that the rest will follow up later.

I'm not counting on Wave 1 being available at the same time as the Core Set launch though. Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.
