My wife is very good. She plays me to a standstill quite often and usually beats my friends. Of course this is in games like Dust tactics and axis and allies. I'm sure she will be just as good at Armada once we get it.
Bets on the Release Date
Interestingly, today (Feb 23) FRP games still shows Armada being released on the 28th. Cool Stuff Inc is now advertising preorders on their main page.
The CSI ad is really interesting in that it shows an Imperial Star Destroyer and not a Victory in the new advertising.

FRP and CSI are as clumsy as they are stupid.
Thalomen , prepare your troops for a surface attack.
Judging by how fast the reprints are getting to retailers on the Upcoming page, I'm going to say we should start getting boxes late next week. I know there's not a bracket for it, but I would say sometime between 3/5 and 3/11.
Pre ordered on MM , and I'm sure it's a glitch but it went from "Pre-Order, Processing" to "Ready To Ship" a few hours ago....

Or maybe not. Someone mentioned the possibility of a staggered roll-out a while back and I think that's a strong possibility. Since I've seen MM restock at least 3 times with orders of over 100 cores each time, it might be safe to say that they've been receiving some already and yours has been put aside to ship as soon as they get the go ahead. Or it was a glitch. Or we'll all be very jealous when you get your set way ahead of the rest of us
Would be cool but stuff like that doesn't usually happen to me lol. My money is on them shipping the non pre order items. .then double charging me shipping when Armada drops lol but I'll keep everyone posted =)

That was yours truely who mentioned the staggered roll out. I consider this to be more proof of that possibility. Nothing wrong in hoping Im right!
I ordered via Fishpond and just got an email saying 'Shipped/enroute from 'Preorder'.
Amazon says March 4 for arrival, no status updates though. I may have to change my vote to next week for launch.
wow... that would be fantastic. I pre ordered from coolstuff and Walmart. Coolstuff still just says in pre order status and Walmart says processing and will arrive no later than May 5th... that doesn't help much for a valid timeframe... lol

I hope it's all true - but my guess is that you all are being lied to by automated systems.
Sorry my money is in May, second week in May. We see on the boat for weeks and there are a lot of delays ahead. Yep, May.
Edited by EmpireErikWe may even see it at GenCon, again...lol
I am still very hopeful for a release around the first week of March. I ordered everything to my sister's house in the USA, and she is visiting March 14th.
Otherwise, I may have to wait until summer...
I bet the Exec President of FFG in charge of the Armada project is freaking out, lol. So much pressure to get the product out.
I think you are right.. it was a glitch. When I went to Fishpond to order morse stuff, the order said pre-order again. **** lying automated email systems.

Okay, I have you down for May 4-10.
This makes me sad but not at all surprised...
Listening to public radio on the way to work this morning, they were reporting information on the port slowdown at the Seattle ports.
1) Seattle longshoremen work slowdown was only in effect for 1 month before the new contract was signed.
2) Longshoremen went back to work as soon as the contract was approved, which sounded like last Saturday.
3) Longshoremen are working "full shifts," whatever that means.
4) Coast Guard reported the Puget Sound has only 25 mooring points for the big container ships, and all which were being used by the end of the strike/slowdown.
5) Coast Guard did not have to turn away any ships during that time period (no one sent back out to the Pacific).
6) Seattle port said that it will be "several weeks" before ships entering the Puget Sound will be able to dock directly at the port.
"Several weeks" to clear out 25 of those giant container ships doesn't sound bad at all. Now the question is: "Where are the FFG products entering the states?" They might be stuck down in LA or something. Though FFGs new "upcoming" page reports their products all get sent to their warehouses in Minnesota before distribution. Maybe Seattle is the closest West coast port?
I was wondering that as well. A lot could depend on which port the core sets enter.
I just found out my FLGS is closing down. So I had to cancel my Armada order since the only other store is too far to go too
That sucks... Well there are plenty of online options. You must live in a very isolated area to have no stores within driving distance to you.
For what it's worth, my Cardhaus order has changed to shipped... core, 1 of each ship, plus dice.
What country you in keiichiro? Not North America I assume.
