This would seem unlikely, as they have updated the upcoming page to show that the expansions are now set back to a Q2 release, but at this point it is anyone's guess. Q2 could technically mean April 1st, could it not? It's all a giant "who knows" right now, based on warehouse arrival speculation in that other thread we'll know better soon-ish? Maybe they'll split your expansions into a separate order for you!

We are hoping to have those in at some point this month, but we haven't received a shipping confirmation quite yet. They should be in by the beginning of quarter 2 at the latest. Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with.

This is why, when I placed my order, I split it into two seperate orders. One with the core sets & dice, the other with the Wave 1 expansions.

I've never ordered a product at launch from FFG. I ordered mine through coolstuff because the nearest store to me is over an hour drive. Do online orders generally come in around the same time as the stores get them?

I preordered Imperial Assault from MM because I really wanted it for some holiday season game nights and was unsure of the local stock... And we all know IA was kind of a strange duck with how suddenly it was just "oh, hey guys I'm here!" - but it arrived for me only a day or two after I started to see that people were getting it from brick and mortar stores.

I specifically mentioned that I had ordered both core and wave I and asked when they would ship. The answer did not really tell me anything, but I'm guessing they don't know either.

my wave 1 and core is also going to stall, looking into picking up a second core somehwere depending on price. i would rather not go through walmart, but at that price... :-/ the struggle! gonna call my LGS and see if they're pre-order prices are comperable. i would even pay a little over not to use walmart.

I wouldn't bet on paying much less than MSRP at a gaming store. You should still support them over Walmart if you can so we all have local places to meet and game.

I don't play very many video games anymore, and especially not at release day... but FFG has made me dearly miss release dates with Armada.

Release quarters are just... yeah. "Somewhere within these three months and maybe not even then" has been painful. A date and ensuing delays would have been much easier to swallow.

I still think it would be very interesting to follow the Armada production story from FFG's standpoint from that first demo copy they brought to GenCon and then through the fall, winter and up to the hopefully soon spring release. Just to see what their expectations were along the way versus what was actually happening... I know if I had made this game, I would be getting antsy that it still wasn't on people's tables and we are now only a couple weeks away from April. From the outsider perspective, it just seems like not much has gone their way - from the fact that we are still kind of unsure going on 7ish months from GenCon, to that hope to release Wave One simultaneously with the core game, to the West coast port problems, to time slipping quickly into Q2... It would probably be a pretty okay story if they were ever to divulge such things.

Heck, this would make a darn good Harvard Business Review article. Or even a company "case."

High demand product -- in a niche market. Huge brand name recognition. Production delays (?) Logistical "issues." Etc.

Intresting info. MiniatureMarket reported recieving a large stock of the XWing Tantive IV this morning. That is still reported as being "on the boat".

Received another e-mail from the nice people at Miniature Market. I was told that yes, they would hold off shipping the Core until all of the supplements I ordered were available. I explained that FFG had announced the Core would be available next week but that Wave I was "several weeks" away. They offered to split the cost of shipping and ship me just the Core set when it comes available. I will gladly pay $7-8 to not have to wait "several weeks." Thank you nice people at Miniature Market!

for me the question "when does armada finaly come out?" just switch to "when does wave 1 finaly come out?". and although the release of the core was just anounced for next week it kinda feels like it was moved back "by several weeks". am i to negative here ? choices with just one core set seem to be quite limited so lets hope wave 1 comes fast.

I was wondering on the day of the week as well... maybe someone ordering from a FLGS has a specific day of the week?

I might just be on target to hit my prediction of 28th March. Although i ordered a set of each fighters so i might have to wait anyway!

At least in my area, stuff like this generally arrives at the store from the distributors to go on sale on Wednesdays (though one store in my area seems to be Thursday more often than Wednesday). I'm expecting it to be available on March 25th. In any case, I expect I should have it for my gaming group in time for our Saturday gaming session.
