Lurk more - it's never enough?

Looking for 34 there? -.^

Well, that escalated quickly. Any chance y'all might drop this before it has to be reported and locked?

What game is that from?

That's what he looks like? Well now the ugly silly look of his ship makes more sense...

That would really be a crying shame. This thread started with such exquisite thought and reflection. It spurred great debate, and then some Philistine had to come and wreck it with a lewd comment.

An old Game Star Wars Miniatures by Wizards of the Coast back in 2008. Thy used the same design and business model as their D&D with random assorted models in booster packs. It wasn't that good.

The game is called Star ship battles, it is a now defunct game made by wizards of the coast. It had potential, but suffered from an overly simplified set of rules.

I think overly simplified, overly simplified would more accurately reflect the rules.

It was a shame. The game was ok but very expensive and as stated above, way to simplified. The choices of ships was questionable, the quality control was quite bad and the scale choice was bizarre. That Virago above I think I ended up with four of, it was the same size class as the Millennium Falcon but the miniature was actually larger. The game had potential in concept, but the worst par was it was CMG. I'm so happy the industry is moving past that BS.

The one upside is it can be seen as the spiritual predecessor to Armada.

I thought the models were pretty good, though not on par with what FFG is producing. the game was quite a bit less expensive than this one, and waaaay cheaper than armada. there have been some fan made rule sets that are very good, and actually make it a great game, IMO, which is nice for those of us who have 200+ ships. (I have 3 ISDs)

Yes, the scale is off, but there was no claim to accurate scale, and I think that you really cannot play a cap ship game with accurate scale. how can you have an executor and an a-wing be to scale and be on the same board?
