For the average ARC-170 with only one action a turn(with no other modifiers except the refit on the ship) 90% of the time, your rear arc is, in fact, more accurate. Only once you start shooting at ships like a cloaked Phantom or Soontir Fel does the front arc surpass it, but only by a very small amount.
ARC 170s (again)

well, there is no "Average ARC" when they're all named
wonder if this info is going to inspire people to pull a William Wallace on their enemies
and here's where I'd put that lovely scene from Brave Heart but I don't want to upset the mods

I meant an ARC-170 that isn't Norra Wexley, who's the only one who can add results to her rolls through a native ability,
Edited by Razgriz25thinfCross factions ships seriously bleed faction identity.I am kind of hoping that there will be a release of current cross faction ship with new pilots for each faction they are currently inWhy would the Scum need an ARC? Heck, why should any more ships be dual faction?
I get it early on when they didn't even know if people would be interested in S&V. But now? Sorry I just don't see the point.
I'm looking at the current ships that have already been cross factioned, I'm not looking at adding any more just some more pilots to give those who fly them options. Like the rebel y wing it should have more then four pilots at this point as it is the only ship in its wave that has only four. The thing about it being cross factioned is it would allow you to get pilots out for each faction it is in,in one expansion. Form a player stand point it great for it gives you a chance to try something new without wasting a purchase and for the developers side it is an easy way out of having to make two new models to increase the pilot pool for the players.
This helps the ship from becoming stale, beyond the argument of faction bleed over in ships that already have it a little, which the designers have done a great Job makeing feel different. What is the argument against this idea?
Back to ARC 170's in this thread? lol

They're beautiful...
*whispers to self* i only need three. i only need three
3 is sadly all you can field in a game outside epic
I am so looking forward to the model. Probably buying 2, to repaint at least one.
Weathered and patched ships

But I really dont want 8 R3s.... and I'm also sad I cant fly all 4 pilots in a regular game.
I'm repurposing r3s as debris fields
Which is about the best use you can hope out of them, really
You know the Astromech in the mini is an R3? If you don't want to fly him you'll have to cut him out and put another one in there instead.

This ain't Warhammer or warmachine so I have to do no such thing
Seriously the ARC would be DOA if you had to run that r3 garbage
Except r3-a2 ofc. He's money on ARCs

I'm not saying it's the rules, but if you don't swap him out then you'll know he's there every time you fly it. You'll know...
You underestimate the power of denial
Besides I can't tell the r3 series apart from the r2 anyway

Clear domes, man. It's all about the clear domes.
Did anyone come up with workable builds for the ARC pilots yet?
I feel like these guys are the kind of point trap B-wings used to be (back when people were still running them). If you kit them out with cool stuff (astromech, crew, EPT;possibly vector thrusters and torpedo) you're looking at a ~40point ship. 40points that might quite easily blow up in a single combat round.
Yeah. They seem to be point traps without merit.
Joust with c3po and r2d2 and VI. Sadly wish that I could trigger norras ability.
Is most everyone else here extremely underwhelmed by ffgs creation? Can't fit 4. Expensive. Not a great dial. By that great abilities.
I got ideas only; waiting for my gencon caddie to come home
All arc builds obviously auto include titlr
Step 1 is r4-d6 Biggs
You're slow and 1agi; Biggs is NON NEGOTIABLE
Step 2 is Thane built to counter your range problem
So r7-t1, plasmas and chips
His ability is basically deadeye. You can't ditch the combat phase TL and you don't have to fiddle with it during the action phase. So you just get a single plasma + chip + focus (important ignores range 3 bonus)
R7-t1 to be aggressive and possibly even block
V torp scouts, you r7-t1 into range 1. For thanes action take a TL fir next turn (r7 t1 is NOT a TL action)
Tailgunner because you don't want to stress thane
Step 3. Ptl norra with r2d2 and tailgunner
VTs
Great punch while hiding behind Biggs; goes well with thanes offensive output
Tailgunner + norra ability should HURT.
R2d2 gives you some late game, makes norra a priority which keeps thanes ability relevant after Biggs is gone
And there's one list
Then you keep Biggs and swap the ARCs around
R3-a2 gunner Braylen
Ptl bb8 tailgunner Shara (drop a point from norra; tailgunner to Nien for four foward r2d2)
Got a LOT of testing to do
They may be point traps but they are NOT Bwings
They got goddamn aux arcs and their entire playstyle revolves around them (example: aux arc is literally why ptl norra doesn't suck)

I dare you to win a tournament with this list....
I've forgotten what they look like now, lets have a reminder:
29pts for the most expensive, I don't think they'll be hitting 40pts that often. Tail Gunner, BB-8 and PTL is only 7pts, putting you at 36. You could easily get them in a three ship squad, whether that's three ARCs or one or two other ships.
No need to dare me; I'll be flying them exclusively for a while once I get my hands on em
More importantly, I want a squad of nothing but Clone Wars era ships! Someone make that work!
Well you've got ARC-170s, Y-Wings, Z-95s, and the YT-1300 to work with. That's quite a bit.
No Biggs sadly
I'd be 10000% down with Ywing r4-d6 Biggs
