You know they don't have the prequel license to make games because if they did they would be under contract to do so. Franchise contracts always include specific outline of what the purchaser will do with the license, how much they will produce, when the releases will be, even how much money they are expected to make. These are obligations, they aren't optional. If FFG had the license there would board and card games for it.. If you want to see what a franchise obligation looks like, take a look at Game of Thrones and Warhammer for example. There is something new in each of those franchises from FFG every year and its like that because they are legally obligated to do it while they hold the license.
You do realize that isnt exactly how contracts work right? They dont have to be under contract to make prequel ship just to have the contract so that they can make them if they wished to.
In fact I am almost positive that FFG has a license for ALL STAR WARS game making, they have made some prequel stuff for he LCG. Dooku, the Jedi faction have cards in that game. There is no way in hell that FFG has the ability to make cards for the LCG and not ships or cards for Xwing.
They have the Star Wars liscence in general, and have chosen which ships and cards to make for Xwing.
And so far that has not been to make any purely prequel ships other than the ARC-170!
Soory, BigKahuna but your argument has just been shot down like a pathetically piloted Z-95.
I understand it fine. Count Dooku appears in Rebels, its why they can make that card same as the ARC 170.
