Just doing my daily wish this game was out looking through the previews, and I noticed that the alternate art cards look a million times better than the normal ones. I might have to eBay some if I can't get any from tournaments.

They look a lot more functional and just better with the lack of windowed information. Anyone else think the same?

Good for diehard fans, but much, much harder for someone new to the game to find information easily.

Thanks, I couldn't figure out how to get the pic up, (plus I was at work when I posted it, so didn't want to spend too much time) still, I kinda wish all of the ship cards were like the alternate art ones. Just so much prettier and stylish

Yes that alternate art work looks realy sexy. I hope we get the game in time to start the tournament season. I know the kits are out but still I wanna play for it not pay for it lol

They also look a lot more practical, as you can fit a lot more tokens on them without obscuring the data on the card, which makes for a cleaner card area

Incentive to get good and win a tourney right away! It seems the data is smaller, sure, but the layout is so much more appealing to me.

Yeah, I'm hoping my FLGS ordered a kit, but I'm not all that hopeful.

And I want to win that tournament, even if it's just because I'm the only one there with enough stuff to make 300 points.

Kinda the same boat. I asked my LFGS about the Tournament kits and he said they might get them but in the past their turn outs have been less than expected.

I must be the only person who doesn't like them.

I can appreciate the art front and center but I'd like it if the information was all balanced at the bottom instead of spread around the perimeter of the card :\

Its actually organized like the normal cards, except the upgrade bar and speed chart are swapped. I don't think font size will be an issue, since these are tarot sized. My only question is if they are double sided for both versions. And if they are is the art different.
