Lets talk about 42-Corran.

I am seeing a lot of 58-Dash lists paired up with 42-Corran

Specifically this build:

[42] Corran Horn - E-wing (35) - R2-D2 (4) - Veteran Instincts (1) - Fire-Control System (2)

What I see when I look at this is that this could be a naked wookie and have a lot less risk regarding survivability.

I took a very similar Corran (with Han) to a tournament and I found him a bit disappointing. He was targeted early in all my games and rarely lived long enough to use r2 to his full potential. Are players in the current meta finding he has improved with the number of other 2 ship lists? Would 58-Dash+Chewy struggle so much vs phantoms that the 10PS Corran is suggested?

PS 10 Corran is what can keep PTL Dash alive against Echo/Whiper. They will otherways always be at range 1 of Dash and just eat him alive.

Corran with VI, Fire Control and R7 is pretty good, too.

And it gives your opponent a rough choice: Do I target corran who can slip away and regen if I can't kill him or do I try to chase dash and hope I have enough ships and firepower left to destroy corran in the end game.

Plus corrran does well in timed matches.

44 and 47-point Corran are so much better than 42. 53-Dash is only slightly less effective than 58 Dash.

The real issue with 32 Corran is that he is super-squishy. If the other list has at least 1 big accurate gun(they all do lately) then he can't really guarantee his own survival. He needs them to go after Dash so he can do his thing late game. If they go straight for Corran with almost any list he will drop faster than he and Dash can put a dent in anything. Ps10 with advanced sensors can mitigate this quite a bit, but that's 43 points and your damage output plummets.
