Been awhile since I posted anything, so far the campaign is going well - we've had two sessions and the third is coming up soon. I wanted to share one of the more... interesting things that has happened so far as we've gone along. My group consists of a Bothan spy/infiltrator, a Wookiee Hired Gun/maurauder, a Twi'lek smuggler/pilot and a Twi'lek colonist/performer. It should also be noted that only the Wookiee is male -- the rest are female, which has led to some interesting player character dynamics as things have gone along.
Anyway. The first session started with my players already captive aboard an Imperial Star Destroyer. They had some help escaping, but they had to make it to an armory in order to retrieve their confiscated equipment and, as they were unarmed, they would not be able to simply attack the trio of Stormtroopers guarding the door. The colonist/performer has put a lot of points into charisma based abilities, of course, so she is going to try to somehow distract the Stormtroopers while the others circle around to try to get to the door, maybe try to steal the key one of the Stormtroopers has.
This performer is... well, let's just say she has more points in how she looks than how she thinks. The plan became to start pulling at her top while explaining to the Stormtroopers that she was lost and needed help. This was, of course, a rather hard difficulty check, as a Twi'lek female that's half clothed wouldn't normally be walking around a Star Destroyer, especially near the armory... but damned if the player didn't get an amazing roll. I did my own personal roll to determine what the sexual preference of each Stormtrooper was, and the player got lucky -- all of the Stormtroopers were influenced, and their roll was so bad they actually started stripping off their armor and arguing over who would stay behind to guard the door. It was about the time they'd stripped the majority of the armor that the Wookiee appeared and started ripping off arms.
The trio was caught entirely by surprise, unarmed and unarmored... it was a blood bath. And it was amazing.
