Combat rule question

Hi guys

I recently had a discussion with my GM about how Toughness bonus works on reducing damage.

To him, when you take multiple shots, you apply only your toughnes bonus once while your armor will count to soak each shot.

So, for instance, lets say i have TB 4 and AP 5

Someone hits me twice. I will soak 9 damage on the first shot, and only 5 on the second one.

I search some further description in the rulebook but didn't find. What do you think?

toughness is removed every wound you take.

The only situation when one of the two values is calculated once is with the dual shot talent, and even then, it is armour that is counted once and toughness is still counted twice.

Toughness is ALWAYS factored in when reduing damage.

Toughness ALWAYS applies to each and every shot/hit/whatever, except for a few RARE attacks that specifically bypass TB.

Actually against Dual Strike and Dual Shot the armor is applied to both hits individually and toughness once to the combined damage rolls of both hits.

At least this is according to the errata of the old version. I do not have the second version of DH so I do not know if this has changed.

Ah ok; I knew one value was counted once and the other twice, thanks for the clear-up!
