3 Interceptors + Doom shuttle is a favorite Wave 3 archetype of mine, my old favorite being:

Just a classic powerful list that I beat a lot of Wave 3 squads with. Well, Id like to revive it and run it against the recent meta. However, the PS 6 Royal Guards likely won't cut it, with so many ships available to outplay them. And then, putting ships together, I found you can make the following list...

Turr + VI

Soontir + PTL (add Target CPU for 100 pts)

Mauler Mithel + VI

Omicron + Vader

98 pts

A better squad than the original? Probably not. But all PS 9 is pretty funny and should allow for some epicness to happen.

Honorable mention is also Carnor Jax + PTL and Backstabber in place of Mauler and Turr. I just didn't like that squad AS much.

Falcon pre-C3PO wasn't too bad. Just gotta point all guns and dodge the support and pray the green dice kep at least average results. Vader Shuttle tends to earn his keep in those matchups, as the Falcon REALLY wants to take out those high manueverability ships.

I would recommend running the first one this weekend. Though if you want to run the dual Sigma's, I'll have no problem procketing one to death before it shoots

This is really bizarre, but I put together almost that exact same list while messing around with 50 pt. squad ideas for an upcoming charity tournament.

I run Soontir a lot, so in any smaller point limit situation, he was my initial go-to. My favorite build pre-autothrusters is PTL+TC leaving 18 pts remaining which was perfect for Mithel+VI. Seemed like a cool, PS9, no-brainer way for me to go for the unique tourney, but then I started to think up interesting alternatives since I never think in a 50 pt design space. Starting with the ever efficient 24 pt. Doomshuttle, I realized that Turr+VI could be a very fun 26 pt. yin to it's yang. I then figured, why not smash those two 50 pt. lists together? I can't believe I never thought of connecting those squad pt. blocks before now since I've flown a lot of Soontir+Turr combos a bunch.

Looking forward to using it as a fun, casual build because I'm pretty sure the turret heavy meta will melt this pretty fast in a tournament setting, especially with no room for autothrusters or an initiative bid.

Drop Mauler to Backstabber, and put Autothrusters on Soontir. But by the time that card is out, I'll be running some different lists.

I think this list manages IG88s pretty well already. Soontir is great at dodging their arcs, especially if you've got a Shuttle blocking off areas of the board for you. Turr should do the same. The Shuttle blocks up the board and contributes firepower (single arced large ship before it was cool), Backstabber is just a jerk.

Interesting. My list includes Fel & Turr kitted the same, but the last 40 pts I spent on Whisper rather than the shuttle + backstabber. Yours gives a nice anchor for the enemy to focus on (perhaps taking some focus off the interceptors); whereas mine is entirely dependent on me not screwing up the opening exchange and losing Turr---he's always the first to go, it seems
