Nice solid BXXA build.

Its nothing really fancy, but its got decent defense and firepower.

Farlander - 29

-Stay on Target - 2

-Advanced Sensors - 3

Tarn Mison - 23

-R7 - 2

-Hull Upgrade - 3

Rookie Pilot - 21

-R3-A2 - 2

Prototype Pilot -17

-refit - (-2)

Total = 100

Obviously, it will have trouble with Phantoms, but if piloted carefully you may be able to box one in. Keyan is the early target, but he can be quite mobile and put out decent damage. I love SOT on him as you can always keep him stressed. The Advanced Sensor barrel roll and the 1 hard make him an awesome knife fighter. Tarn is tarn and hard as crap to kill. The rookie with stress bot will give large base ships fits, especially super dash. The prototype is there to be a nuisance and throw in the occasional block. The beauty of this list is that you don't need to fly in any kind of formation. Each ship can do there own thing. Its also fairly easy to fly so might be a decent list for a newer pilot.

I think an Ion Cannon might be a better use of 3pts over a Hull.

While it does paint a larger target on the B-Wing having the Ion + Stress on a single target is quite powerful.

I had the Ion Cannon on Farlander the two times I've ran this list and I never ended up using it. I agree its a nice combo, but I feel the Ion Cannon is not really all that great now. With all the large ships, it usefulness is limited. Farlander is the offensive punch to the list, so I want him to put out as much damage as possible before he goes down. He already is the main target.

I went up against a Howl swarm and a Vessery/Shuttle/Soontir list. It did well each time. Only lost a Rookie in both matches.

Instead of Hull Upgrade or Ion Cannon, how about B-wing/E2 + Tactician for 3 points?

It would give you another stress inducer which is arguably more useful with all the big ships around. Keyan shouldn't have any trouble staying in range 2.

Now that's an idea!

How useful have you found SoT? I realize it gives him a stress every turn, and you can advS to get another action, but at PS7, I question how often you're going to be using it for anything other than "and now I stress myself"

SoT is really that, a means to stress Keyan reliably. However, I did actively change my dial a few times to counter moves when I played against the swarm. It works better with Advanced sensors than PTL. If you PTL before you move, you are stuck only doing a couple white maneuvers to keep the stress. It really limits the dial.

But if you have PTL and you want to do a green, you just don't use AdvS, and push at the end. My main problem with Keyan is that he dies too easily (he has a big target, and doesn't live long to focused fire) and all too often uses PTL to get the stress just 'cause. So I've tried adding the B/E2 + Lando to him, now he can Lando, potentially take up to two evade tokens, then PTL to TL, and use the stress on offense, and any evades/focii on defense.

To make Keyan a little more survivable, I like PTL + B/E2 + Jan Ors (crew).

Target Lock, then PTL for a focus (turned into an evade) and a stress. I've found the focus token to be a little redundant with Keyan's ability, so you might as well get 1 evade for your troubles.

You still can get blocked though. With SoT + Adv. you usually always get two actions. TL or BR + the stress/focus. I think I would rather go Jan Ors for the guaranteed evade. Lando can be too finicky. I try to keep Farlander out of the main tussle and kind of force my opponent to aggressively go after him while the two X-wings and A-wing make him pay.

This list feels very 'rebel'. Like a hodge podge of everything thrown together...most 4-ship rebel builds end up like this.

You've got a high agility flanker, which is nice...and you've got some beef in attack power.

I agree with Khyros that Keyan can go down quickly w/o Biggs...so fly accordingly...that being said your other ships can dish out some damage before that happens. No one likes a late game against Tarn... I'm not sure how I feel about his hull upgrade though. I feel like 3 points could go elsewhere.

The random Stress Bot on the Rookie is a wild card though...and if your opponent's list fears stress they will focus him down first...I guess that kind of acts like a Biggs in a way and lets your Keyan live a little longer.

Good rebel flavor overall. My only concern is the overall lack of health because of the two X's and A... Fun list though for sure.
