It's been a while since I played with my Firespray. Yes, the S&V are coming out, but I thought about a list with Krassis and the HLC. How does this look:
Krassis w/ HLC
Mauler Mithel
Backstabber
2 x Academy
The Tie Fighters go in to swarm while Krassis sits back and shoots. If they go for Krassis, then the ties swarm that guy. Try to play defensive with the named Ties until I can start arc dodging and shooting at short range.
What would this list not do well against? Phantoms? Anything else?
Krassis wants Recon Spec/Captive so badly that he is willing to kill Mithel in order to get it!
My suggestion, drop Mithel for an Academy and use the spare points on upgrades.

I despise Howlrunner and refuse to use her. I think she's a waste of points.

I think we've had this conversation before, needless to say I disagree with your assessment, but it's ok. If running without Howlrunner, I'd rather bump everything to Obsidians, which leaves you with 2 points for Initiative (meh), Seismic charges or Flechette torpedoes.
Flechettes may be overdoing it, but if he's forcing your Rebel Captive on a less important ship (for instance he's running Soontir and Whisper VI, shooting Soontir first so he gets a focus), then it would be your only chance to stress the ship you want stressed.
I've flown Trelix w/ HLC + EU, Carnor Jax w/ PTL and 2 Academy Pilots and had good sucess. I won a tourney with it and went 2-2 in another.

Can mix and match as you please with upgrades / TIEs, but it's given me a fair bit of success.

I've had fun with some variations on that list. Instead of the EU I've either upgraded an AP to Backstabber, put Recon Specialist on Krassis or a Shield Upgrade on Jax.
