Never counted my cards. Never even bought a starter box, my friend who got me into this game in the first hand bought two boxes and wanted me to start so badly he gave me asteroids, maneuver templates and damage deck. From that point on I've trusted he gave me the right cards. Perhaps it's time to check that...

I allways count mine before a match and at the end one time i didnt and some how 2 of my cards ended up in a friends deck the thing that amazed me the most was that i had a camera on the table to record the game for YouTube but when I watched it back I could not see her draw the cards from my deck. What kind of Jedi trick is that?

I always count my opponents deck in tournaments, and I've found a number of them to have the wrong number of cards. Generally, they just borrow a deck from someone, and we get on to play.

I'm the only one who I've seen do this.

A guy I played against at a tournament has his sleeved and put a J on the sleeve so he knows quickly if someone has his cards.

I don't think he was marking the backsides and if that "J" is in marker it shouldn't alter the front side either.

Just having a deck sleeved is going to help make it easier to keep from mixing with your opponent unless he has the same sleeves.

He put the mark on the face of the card, so he can't see it until the card is flipped.
