I've begun running my Beginner Game "tutorials" for my Edge of the Empire campaign. Mostly I want to run these are 2-3 person events, so we can focus on learning the system easily. But next week we may have 5 present for the session (Super Bowl Sunday). We obviously won't be deep into the game, and I don't mind since it's more training then playing. I'm also not worried about the encounter balance being off by adding another character.

But who/what to add? Any ideas from those that have run it before? One note: my campaign has no Force users in it. Otherwise any career and spec is ok.

I assume you've added Shassa and Mathus to the game already. From there, you could look through the Free RPG day characters for something that fits nicely. Joval and Sinoca in particular might slide in without disrupting the balance and setup of the game particularly strongly.

Yeah, Sasha and Mathus are solid PCs. I would suggest one of them.

We play with 5 right now and both Mathus and Sasha are being used. Poor Oskara got no love.

Also to keep it exciting add another opponent or two to each encounter; where there are two opponents make it three, the Stormtroopers are a squad of four rather than three...
