Yet another painting post

By johnjbestpia, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Seeing some of the posts here I decided to try my hand. However not being big on paints, I tried a different technique using Sharpie markers. Would like to hear comments on how this method might or might not hold up... Contemplating some sort of clear top coat to help the color last.

So far they seem pretty good though a few I am not happy with the color choices i made.

The link should be public...

I'm glad you did your own thing and are happy with how it turned out. Hopefully no one decides to come in here and bash your work. When i looked at your pictures they actually looked better than i expected. At a board game level we wouldn't be stareing at them so upclose so i'm sure they'll be great to play with and others will be envious of how they look on the board. I think the color scheme for all of your miniatures were great except i personally don't like the diala. The mak looked great and i think i might paint mine a bright green now that i've seen yours.

I like the way Diala turned out.

It's really neat to see a whole different take on "painting" miniatures. I'd say these look a whole lot better than plain plastic. It's just more fun to play with colored figures. Nicely done!

Whenever I seen Gidoen I cant help but think that if that binocular was replaced with a hip flask he would be lunatic hobo.

And great work! That Vader is fabolous!

I did add a few additional photo's to the link... as I have left out several initially.

Trandosians, offiicers and Nexu turned out well.
